After Jake dragged me off the track i told him that I would meet him in the cafeteria because I had to go to the washroom. So now I'm leaning against the wall hoping no one will come in, but of course with my luck someone does walk in. This girl was a dirty blonde with blue eyes. She was probably an inch shorter than me and she wore all designer clothes she hasn't said a word yet but I could tell that she was the type of girl that could look at a guy once and have them wrapped around her finger. She stares at me for a moment and then smiles.
"Your the new girl right?"
I nod my head which causes her to smile even more. "I'm skyler." She says
"Ariana."
"So... What's up with you and Jake?"
"We're just friends."
"Good. Keep it that way or you'll regret it."
"You don't scare me." I tell her standing up so I'm no longer leaning against the wall,
"Excuse me?" She scoffs pushing me against the wall. Before she can even realize what's happening I flip her around so she's the one against the wall. I grip her shoulders and put enough force in my grip for her to let out a tiny whimper.
"Don't ever tell me what to do, because I can do some real damage to you if I wanted to." I say letting go of her shoulders.
Slipping her purse back up onto her shoulder she exits the bathroom. I look at my reflection in the mirror and look at myself in disgust. "Mature choices, Ariana. Don't make a fool out of yourself or your family this time." I sigh leaving the bathroom. I stop at my locker and change back into my heeled boots seeing as we won't be walking around the track or running anywhere. I shut my locker to see a girl standing there. I jump and the girl lets out a tiny laugh.
This girl is nothing like skyler. This girl seems slightly intimidating. She has tight curls are tucked behind her ears. I'm slightly shocked when I notice that her hair is purple with a few blue streaks here and there. She is wearing a plain black shirt under a black leather jacket with light blue skinny jeans and black and white converse that look just like the ones I have back home.
"Hi." I say
"Hi. I'm Alexa."
"I'm Ariana, and I should probably get to the cafeteria my friends are waiting for me."
"Oh ok. Well bye." She smiles
"Alexa? Do you want to sit with us?" I ask hoping to make a girl friend,
"Really? Sure!" She says happily,
"Great. Then let's go." I say she links her arm with mine and we walk to the cafeteria which I need a little bit of help finding seeing as this is only my second day.
"So you lived in Florida?" She asks curiously,
"Yeah, but then.... I um... Then my mom decided she wanted to live closer to her sister. So that's why we moved here to Cochrane."
"Well im glad you decided to move." Alexa tells me causing me to blush
We get to the cafeteria and see Jake and Joe sitting with two other guys and a girl that I don't recognize. Alexa grabs my arm and walks me to a counter to buy our food. I pick up a container of ceaser salad and a pack of four chicken fingers with some plum sauce. We pay for our food and go to the table where Jake and Joe and some others are sitting. Jake stands up and walks over to me and Alexa who are slowly walking to the table because of our conversation.
"Hey Ariana. Hey....." He says
"Alexa." I Finnish for him
"Right." He says and leads us to our table,
Me and Alexa give each other a look of confusion and sit down.
So she doesn't know who these people are either.
There are only two seats left when we get there. One in between Joe and a guy whom I don't know and one in between Jake and the girl whom I don't know. I take a seat in between Joe and the guy I don't know so it would be less awkward for Alexa and she sits down in between Jake and the girl we don't know.
"Ariana. This is Jaiden." Joe says guesturing to the guy I'm sitting beside,
I smile and turn back to Joe, "this is Mason and his girlfriend Mia. Short for Amelia." He said guesturing to the girl Alexa sits beside and the guy beside her,
"Hi. I'm Ariana, and this is my friend Alexa."
We all talk and laugh for a few minutes before I feel someone tapping on my shoulder. I turn to see who it is and find Skyler standing there a devilish grin plastered to her face.
Again? What does this bitch not get?
"Hi, Ariana. Can I talk to you?"
"Sure." I say standing up. She leads me to the cafeteria doors and stops she looks at me and for a second I thought she was going to bitch slap me.
"I thought I told you to back off from Jake."
"Back off? He's my friend and only my friend."
"Oh sure. I bet you can't wait to put your hands on him!"
I go to open my mouth but am stopped when I feel her small sweaty palm slap my face.
She slapped me!! She fucking slapped me!!!
Before I can analyze what's happening my fist swings through the air making hard contact with her jaw.
That's gonna leave a bruise!!
She pushes me backwards causing me lose my balance and I stumble backwards landing on my tail bone. Ouch!
Skyler jumps on top of me throwing a few punches and I grab her wrists. She tries to break free of my grip but it's no use. I'm stronger than her and even she knows it. I bend her wrist back and I hear a snap. I quickly let go of her hand and she scrambles off of me and cradles her hand. I stand back up and notice that the whole cafeteria is now standing around us. Some have big smiles on there faces which make it seem as though I just won a big award and some of them are sending me death glares which I probably deserve, seeing as I just made a fool out of myself and of course my family- once again- and I probably just broke Skylers wrist so yeah I probably do deserve the death glares.
I turn back to Skylers and see that three girls- her 'clique'- are crowding her. Alexa runs up to me and quickly leads me out of the cafe.
"Dude! That was amazing! I think you broke her wrist!" She exclaims
"Yeah." I say staring down at my feet.
"WOULD SKYLER ANTONIO AND ARIANA PETERSON PLEASE COME DOWN TO THE PRINCIPALS OFFICE. AND I'LL SAY IT AGAIN! WOULD SKYLER ANTONIO AND ARIANA PETERSON PLEASE COME DOWN TO THE PRINCIPALS OFFICE!!!" The principal shouts through the speaker
