A Cruel Fate

Today I'm here to tell you,

About a cruel fate the world carries.

Full of abandoned children,

Restlessly creeping out.

Children who have a few crumbs for dinner.

Their eyes hoping,

No,

Begging the sinister days to leave them.

The small smile plastered on their face when they dream about their mothers embrace.

The warmth greeting them when entering hallucinated place called home.

The delighted thoughts filling their head of their imaginary friends,

Dancing,

Singing,

Smiling,

Laughing.

Only to be smeared when morning finds a way to start another,

Oh so dark day.

Let me talk about a sad fate the world brings,

Where children beg for something to sooth the pain in their empty stomach, or even a small grin,

But not even given a second glance.

Where pale, hungry, dirty faces can be greeted in every other corner.

Where the pain is so hard they wish to die.

But not even cared enough about.

Let me tell you,

The fate the world carries,

Is a painful one.

Everyone knows the feeling of walking down the streets by themselves.

This child has to cower alone.

The shadows follows them,

Side by side,

So they don't have to feel so alone.

Whenever I eat dinner, I have to finish it or else I feel guilty, I think that I'm very lucky. I'm trying to get this message across, I hope you know what this whole poem is dedicated to the people who have to live like that. When you pass one of the homeless, yiu dont have to give them a gallon of money just give them a grin, its surprsing how much something so simple like a smile can be worth so much. Some children sleep on the streets and beg for money, I don't know how they can pull it off but... I just hope that one day, they'll become very sussceful and have a wonderful life full of light and happiness....
