l sit at my windowsil and look at my blank walls and floors. l've wiped up my tears. 'they will find him.' l think to myself. My sister, Danielle, was stabbed 38 times, and ran over by a car. Her boyfriend I'd this to her because she broke his phone then tripped in shock and broke his computer, and he was drunk. l keep some of the tears in as a school bus honks it's horn and my parents called me. l go downstairs, and with out saying a word, l walk outside and my parents hand me a wrapped present, and they hug me goodbye. Where l'm going? Abraham Boarding School; where people who have been through too much goes and live for 8 years. When my sister was killed, my parents registered me and sent me. From what l hear, Abraham is like a town; you have your own little cabin, you pay rent, go too school, and you completely defend yourself. This school is about fighting, (like army and etc) education, and drama. It's like the little show Jericho; but no terrorists. (A/N For now!) On the bus l get sat down beside and boy, he's good looking. Dirty blonde hair, blue eyes, muscular frame. He turns to me and says,''hey, l'm Alex.'' ''Hi Alex. l'm Logan.'' ''Well Logan. What are you here for? l'm here for my father, he's in jail.'' He says lowering his voice. ''You saw the news right?'' I say choking on holding in my tears. ''Yeah, about that dead chic, Danielle Smith. Sick right?'' ''Well.. Well, l- l- l'm Logan Smith.'' l say letting a few sobs come. He looks at me with a guilty, sad face. He starts to friendly rub my back and says,''l'm so sorry Logan. l shouldn't have said that. I'm so so sorry.'' He says. l start to cry, but eventually stop. l wipe the dried tears away and start to listen to music. Alex is asleep. It's about the 3rd hour to where we are going. l listen to When l Was Your Man, by Bruno Mars. l look at the people around me, only 6 or 7 people. 5 boys, 2 girls. I start to think about where l'm going, l haven't seen any pictures; but it seems hot and unbearable. My favorite season is Winter, according to how hot it is in New Jersey. l start to hum along and get a glare from a girl about 16 or 17. l just look away. l'm 18, 19 in August. l fall asleep just as Alex as is waking up.

l wake up when Alex shakes my arm. ''Hey sleepy head. We got an hour left. We're stopping, want anything?'' l look around and see we're at a shell gas station. The bus driver is filling on gas, and everybody else, except one girls in the gas station. ''No. l'm going in anyways. And how long did l sleep?'' ''4 hours. Here.'' And he gives me a 20. ''Oh no. l have money.'' And l hand it back to him. ''And, l hope you don't mind, but l saw this present and unwrapped it. ls that your family?'' And l look at the frame my parents gave me. It's a picture of our family. My mom, dad, my sister and l. l smile and set it down. ''It's fine. Let's go get lunch!'' And he laughs at my sarcastic comment. We come out 10 minutes later with a keychain, hat, and nachos. We walk on the bus and get glances from every one. We sit down and open a bottle of water from the back. The rest of the hour goes by quickly. When we left, we passed a sign for a state-as in leaving one- and drove on a bridge and to a toll booth. The bus driver passed through and it took 20 minutes to get the rest of the wat there. We stopped at a larger building and the bus driver opened the doors "17-25 year olds get out here." I picked up my bags and Alex picked up one carry on. He helped me with 2 of my five bags and we walked out only to be surrounded by a fairly large town and a huge building in front of the 5 kids in a group. The bus driver drove away and the knots and misquotes were everywhere. We walked into the building and a woman looking in her 30s' greeted us. She started to talk about the schedule and the basics. Then she called names and gave everyone keys to their cabin and rental car. When my name came up I was called alone and was told me roommate was already here. I was given keys for a Toyota truck and was told I was cabin 365, I went outside and pressed a button and a royal blue trucks' headlights went blaring. I hopped in and turned the lights off, and rode around until I found a small coldasack with about 30 cabins in it. I drove down the street and found 365 at the very end and hopped out, I took my bags out from the truck and stooped inside. I turned the key only to find the door already open, I walked inside and a blonde very skinny girl about 24 runs down the stairs. "Hi, you must be Logan, I'm Amber Kimberley. I'm your roommate." "Hi Amber. And yes I am your roommate." I say and look around at the small living room and kitchen all decorated and has snacks put out. "I hope you like it, I decorated it for you. It's been 2 years since I've had a roommate. And let me take those." She says gesturing to my bags, crud, Alex took me other two. "Thanks" I say handing her one. And she hurries upstairs and lugs the bag of clothes into a room with blue walls and a wood floor, it's quite big, it has a balcony and a bathroom with a shower and the basics. Amber sets my bag down on the bed and walks out. I start to unpack putting all my clothes into the dresser, I take my decorations out and put them in my room, mostly photos of Danielle though. Amber walks in and lays some lanterns and pillows and blankets on the bed. "I've had these for such a while, do you want them? I can help you decorate and stuff." "I'd be most happy, thanks Amber." And she smiles and starts hanging the lanterns on the ceiling. I put the pillows on the bed with the pink polka dot bed spread she gave me. Then I come upon a box of books,I look at the books and Amber notices and pulls them away,"sorry Logan, I didn't mean to put these here. These are just some old books if you want any?..." And she trails off, I smile as answer and put the box of books on the bed I go through and come upon SlumDog Millionaire. "I love this movie, can I have this book?" And Amber nods her head and gets back to hanging curtains up.
