"Oh my gosh! Lex that is so not your guide!" screeched my friend Cady.
"That's him. Who do you have?" I asked looking away from the cute guy who was showing me around the school. We were in the caf having lunch when I met up with my friends and they saw me talking to my guide. Of course they all freaked and wanted to know who he was and what trade he was taking.
"I have some Barbie B!tch... who is hanging all over my man! Oh no she didn't!" She started getting up but I just pulled her back down and glared at her. She looked away picking at her food knowing that I won this match.
I look over the whole cafeteria getting overwhelmed by what has happened today. It was the first day for freshman and for their guides. We were at lunch right now so that meant the day was half over. I was so giddy knowing that in another 2 hours I would be able to go home.
All of a sudden the bell rings and everyone scrambles to meet with their guides again. I just sit back and wait for the crowd to thin out a little. Cady starts to check her make-up and gathers her things. I grab my zebra purse and sling it over my shoulder getting up with Cady from our seats. I look around the cafeteria to look for anyone in my group. I see the guide and he flashes me a smile.
"There's my guide. See you later Cady. Wanna meet outside?"
"Yeah, see you later. Have fun with that hunk of man." she winks at me then walks away to her group.
"Ready to find the others?" I hear a husky voice say. I jump and quickly turn around to meet a cute puerto rican that is known as Darren.
"Don't scare me like that! Lets go." I say hitting him in the chest and sticking my tounge out at him. He lughs and pulls me along to where the others are. We all gather up and move down the hallway to the room where we meet with other groups. Darren and I are leading the group while the others chat folling behind us.
"How was your lunch?" I ask trying to start a conversation.
"It was lunch... haha" He says with a cute smile that I just about die for. WAIT! I did not just think that! Lexi get ur mind straight! Hes a junior and your probably the youngest freshman in the whole school!
"Lex you ok? Lex? Lexi!" I snap out of my day dreaming to come face to face with worried Darren.
"Oh! Sorry, I was just thinking." I say with a apologetic smile.
"You scared me there for a second. Come on, The others are waiting." He says pulling me towards the room we were suppose to be in. I trudge behind him jst wanting the day to be over with. I was done with all these little kiddy games. I walk in and everyone is just chatting away and in little groups. I take a seat next to some people that I've been talking to throughout the day and quickly join the conversation about what trade they were going to take.
"By this time all guides should take their freshman to their assigned academy meetings. After their meetings all guides should pick them up and bring them to their first shop to meet with shop teachers. Welcome Freshman!"
I get up grabbing my things saying my good-byes to everyone i was chatting with and walk over to Darren and the rest of the group. We leave the room and start dropping everyone off at their assigned places; my meeting was to be held in the cafeteria. We dropped me off first because my location was the closest.
"Just wait in the caf for me after the meeting I should be here. If im not then you know where the room is." Darren says with a smile and starts to walk away with the rest of the group.
Walking into the caf I see that this is going to be torture, with just a bunch of freshman sitting in uncomfortable chairs listening to teachers talk about grading and fun stuff like that.

When the meeting was finally finished I waited a minute before I got up and walked behind the mass of freshman trying to find their juniors and get back to their mentor rooms. I didn't see Darren anywhere so I made my way to the mentor room we were in.
I enter the borin old school classroom see that some of the others have already made it to the room. I took a seat next to a girl in my group and start a converstation with her. Soon an anouncement is made and all guides and their freshman take a tour around the school and try out our lockers. First we head to mine and the girl Meghans, we have our lockers rite next to eachother. She tries hers out and the locker opens with ease.
After i try mine and pull the handle and it won't open. I the combination again and the locker still won't budge. I kick the metal storage and turn around to Darren with a sweet smile. He looks at me clueless to what I'm thinking and smiles back. I walk up to him stil smiling and batting my eyelashes but not too much.
"Oh Darren, would you be doll and open my locker for me?" I say in a sweet and innocent voice.
"Y-yeah, no problem." he stutters looking away and blushing.
"Thanks babe!" I jump up and kiss his cheek. He just blushes even more and moves around me to open my locker.
He twists and turns the dial and then pulls the handle and the locker opens with ease. Ugh my locker is ino guys... Thats just great...
"Come on lets start this tour. Shall we?" Darren says smiling and walking away.

The part where all freshman are to go to there first shop to see what its like. My group and I dropp off everyone else leaing just me and Darren in the end. My first shop was in the basement so we walk to the stairs and start our trip down them.
"Do you forgive me yet?" I hear Darren ask.
"For what?"
"When I called you a shorty... Do you for give me?" He asks looking down guitly. We had stoped at the landing of the stairs.
I walk over closer to him keeping a strait face. I pull up his head with my finger under his chin. His eyes look away from me lik he was a little kid who did something wrong.
"Look at me." I say with a straight face.
He looks at me with sad eyes.
"Of course I forgive you! Hahaha!" I laugh and start walking back down the stairs but i was soon stopped and pined against the wall with Darren on top of me.
"Hello. How may I help you?" I ask him with a curious face.
"You mad me actually think you were mad at me! I dislike you so much rite now..."
"Just. Shut. Up." i say to him
"What?"
"Just shut up and kiss me jerk."
He looks at me then suddenly I feel him lips on mine in seconds. I smile through the kiss knowing that he wanted to kiss from the beginning.

I jump being brought back from my day dream. I look around seeing that I'm in the guide room and all thats left is me and Darren. He smiles at me and walks over.
"Come on sleepy head." He says grbbing my wrist and pulling me out and into the hall way to my first shop.
All along the way I can't stop thinking about what I was day dreaming about....
