"An Irish coffee please"

The bartender nodded from behind the counter and turned towards the coffee machine, leaving Taehyung once again by himself. That was the first time he sat in a pub in solitude since he moved from Daegu and started a new life in Seoul.

Just one year ago he was sitting with his friends Yoongi and Namjoon in the little pub close to the latter's house and talking about their plans for the next year.

Namjoon was rated one of the best students out of South Korea and he didn't have problems finding the job of his dreams, so he moved to Los Angeles and started his life as a producer. Taehyung hasn't heard of him since that summer, just few texts but nothing more really.

At least, Yoongi was still in Korea. The brunette still remembers the one day the older told him he was going to move to Seoul and try to get casted as a composer.

Thinking about it, Taehyung didn't have a real passion to follow. He had a good voice, but he didn't consider himself good enough to audition for a big company as his friends did.
All he could hope for was to follow his friends advices and find a nice place to work at. Something simple but satisfying.

He resigned to find a job in Daegu and spend the rest of his life there, but one night Yoongi called him screaming happily and telling him that he did got casted by Big Hit Entertainment. After that call something clicked in Taehyung's head and a week later he was landing in Seoul, ready to attend the prestigious "Korea National University of Arts". Yoongi made him realize that maybe there was still hope. That he could work on his voice and learn something more about dancing and composing so that he could to become a singer.

Surely not the best, but at least a good one.

Taehyung started his courses the day after his arrival. He studied hard and practiced harder and also, for the first time, he tried to start a conversation with some boys in his class. He was unexpectedly a really shy guy and it was hard for him to approach people first, but he tried and got a couple of friends. Well, they weren't really close but it was a start.

Months passed by and Namjoon never called back. Yoongi skyped at times but he was too busy to meet up with him and Taehyung started feeling alone. His school 'friends' started to avoid him for some reason and everyone he tried to get close to for the following months didn't apparently like him back or something. He soon found out that some popular kid was spreading rumors and bad mouthing him, telling everyone that he was a 'faggot'. Truth was that Taehyung was actually gay but...that wouldn't normally change anything, right?
No, you're wrong. Everything changes if you are in a boys school and the popular kids make fun of you all day.

Basically, those were the reasons why Taehyung was sitting in that crowded pub, drinking his irish coffee and staring at his own hands in solitude. The jazz music in the background wasn't helping at all. Actually, he felt even more depressed but still, he smiled politely at the bartender and at the girl who offered him a drink. She was obviously interested in him. He could tell.
However, he just thanked her and looked away to scan the room and accidentally locking his eyes into a raven haired boy with a huge smile.

Taehyung stared at the beautiful stranger from the moment he walked into the pub with his friends and headed towards the counter, sitting right beside him.

"Oh, sorry buddy! I'm a bit clumsy tonight" chuckled the stranger turning towards Taehyung as soon as he realized he bumped into the brunette while sitting on his chair.

"N-no problem" stuttered the latter biting his lower lip nervously as he felt a blush creeping on his cheeks. He tried to cover it up by turning away and ordering something drink. Shit. Why did I do that? I was planning to go away right after drinking my coffee! he scolded himself. The bartender brought him a glass of Tanqueray as requested and Taehyung looked at it clueless. He had no idea what Tanqueray was and he had only ordered that because it was the first thing he read on the list.
