I can't believe how the world around me has fallen. The leaves have fallen, trees have fallen, houses have fallen, but more humans have fallen than anything. The pollution of this world has caused this world to crumble. We struggle for food. We struggle to survive.
Water was a easy source for me to get to. I lived right beside a waterfall. Lucky me. It's probably the only thing I have going for me right now. My family is dead. Pollution effected their lungs too bad, so they suffocated to death. Seeing my family leave me one by one brought me into a strange perception of the world. Why would my loved ones be taken away from me? I provided for them. I spent my whole life making sure they survived but the world had to take them away from me. Why?
I was coming up from the creek that leads into the waterfall from refilling my water container when I hear what seems to be a conversation. I quickly reach for my sword and take cover behind a thick bundle of shrubs. I couldn't understand what the couple was arguing about, but I definitely heard the gun shot afterwards. My heart beat was in my throat. My ears were echoing. My face was soaked with sweat. I doubt I knew the person, but the thought of another dead body hurts.
I wait for the man that shot the gun to leave. I watched as he walked off. Suddenly, a group of boys, about six teenagers by the looks of it, gather around him.When did they get here? How long have they even here?
They march off proudly like a bunch of lions who have just made their first kills. I follow silently behind them. I've always been sneaky, and finally it's coming into use. I realized I was following them and stopped. I hesitated to continue, but the anticipation just overwhelmed me. This could be one of the worst ideas I've ever had, or the best..
