(Here is chapter 2 sorry for not updating sooner but I have school and all that anyways its not that exciting but it'll be getting there. Hope you enjoy)

"Hey ,Laila, wait up!"

"Ughhhh..." Laila groans.

"Hey, so I was wondering if you maybe wanted to go get something to eat, maybe hang out and have some fun later, what do you say?" Alex, the shining quarterback and most popular boy, asks.

"I actually have a lot of homework to do so I really can't but thanks for the offer." Laila trues to give a believable fake smile.

"Oh okay... Maybe some other time?" Asks Alex.

"Maybe."

"Alright well I'll see ya!" He says before leaving.

When he's out of Laila's view, she breathes a sigh of relief.

"HEY BITCH!!" a voice shouts from behind her.

Laila jumps and spins around, covering her hand over her racing heart, looking for who's voice it was that startled her. When her eyes land on her best friend, Ava, she sighs and shakes her head.

"Please never do that again. You literally gave me a heart attack."

"That was the point. Anyways, i saw you talking with Alex, what was that about? You do know he just got done with doing the schools slut- Jessica- you know?"

Laila loves Ava but her best friend LOVES to gossip and always knows everyones secrets somehow. Laila still hasn't figured out how she knows these things and probably never will.

"Yeah I know. He's been trying to take me on a date for a while and have some "fun" but I know his kind of fun and it's really not my cup of tea," Laila states.

"Oh your cup of tea is so boring. You should try and add some sugar to it."

"Are you suggesting that I sleep with someone like our schools biggest man whore?"

"No of course not! I hear he is terrible in bed. But just do something different with your life."

"I don't need sugar because I already have it ok? I can get wild if I wanted to but the world isn't ready for my kind of wild," Laila says, "How do you even know he's bad in bed anyways? Have you... you know..."

"What? Ew, gross, of course not!!" Ava shakes her body like a bug crawled on her, "I have my ways of knowledge though. I know youand I know you're saving yourself and all that. Anyways, what are you doing after school?"

"I have to...oh no...oh crud! I forgot to pick my brother up for his soccer practice!" Laila says before running to her car, "I'll text you!"

****

"Guys I'm home!" hollered Jenny.

"Hey mom, supper's in the fridge, I didn't know what time you'd be home. Its lasagna."

"Oh thanks sweetie. Did you forget Ryan's practice again?"

"W-what...? No...o-of course not like who would do such a thing... not me..." Laila stutters

"She forgot again mom!" Ryan yells from his room.

"Shut your face! No one asked you! Aren't you supposed to be in bed?" Laila yells back.

"Aren't you supposed to be a responsible sister who doesn't forget her brother?" Ryan shoots back.

"Oh, I'm sorry, next time you can walk yourself, you ungrateful little turd!"

"I'm only tens years old, I can't drive myself to practice!"

"Then walk!" Laila argues.

"Laila! Ryan! Both of you quit fighting!" Jenny yells.

"Sorry mom," Laila and Ryan say in usion.

"Ryan, it is past your bed time, go to sleep. Laila, I need you to stop forgetting to pick him up. His coach called me saying he has been late too many times and will probably not play the next time he is late. You know how much soccer means to him so please don't forget next time."

"Yes mom. I'm sorry.... so about that camping trip-"

-" I am not doing this with you Laila you are going and that is that. Stop trying to persuade me into letting you not go because it won't happen. You need this instead of the Internet this summer."

Laila sighs dramatically and walks back up to the comfort of her room where she can be alone and think. Her room is everything to her. It'swhere she thinks, eats, sleeps, laughs, cries, everything except go the bathroom in. Sadly, she doesn't have her own bathroom.

In her room, Laila begins to think that maybe this trip will be just what she needed like her mother said. She always wanted adventure like in the romance/mystery novels she reads. Maybe she'll meet someone while she's there.

Laila's eyes begin to fall until finally sleep claims her.
