Now, we have to play it cool. Damien said in my ear.

What do you mean? I thought. I was packing my bag up, seeing as we had to leave in like, 15 minutes.

We have to go after Candace first.

Candace?

Yes, Candace. Will's guardian demon. God, I hate her.

Why?

Because she simply associates with Her. He said Her with hatred and anger.

So, first we get Will, but why?

Why did I have to get the literal most ignorant human? Because if we get Candace, it will hurt Opal the most. Opal and Candace are lovers as well, apparently.

Huh. Do guardian demons typically fall for the guardian demon of their humans lover? I thought as I folded up my favorite shirt.

No. I didn't fall for my first human's boyfriend. Most demons are teamed with humans that are similar to them, so typically, when a human likes someone, their demon likes them too. Sometimes we just like each other as friends, but sometimes we hate each other. And every once in awhile, they'll fall in love. It's pretty rare though.

Oh. So why do you hate Candace and Opal again?

At that moment, a horn blew, signaling that the bus was about to leave.

"Crap!" I yelled. "They did it like, ten minutes early!"

I slammed my trunk shut, grabbed my fish, Tequila, who for some reason wasn't collected. I thought back to when I had gotten my fish, before all of these stupid disasters happened. Lani and I were joking around when we named Tequila, but it ended up just sticking.

I got my phone and it's charger, and after looking around at my beautiful room, which was no longer mine, I left it.

After finally stepping off of the bus, they let us walk around the airport for a while to stretch our legs and stuff. Seriously, sitting in a bus for hours was sooo exhausting. I think Damien fell asleep or something. I don't even know if they CAN fall asleep. Maybe he was just ignoring me. I really don't know.

I walked up to a snack stand and bought a muffin. Banana nut, to be exact. It's my favorite flavor. I probably shouldn't have though, because I heard they have free food on the jet.

I decided to board the jet early, because it was hot outside, and it was a bit boring seeing as I had no friends besides Lani.

Both Iris and Amy went home for summer. Amy and I never really caught up though. We only talked in Law, since neither Iris nor Lani were in Law.

Anyway, I glanced at my little slip of paper that they had put my seat number on. 34? There are a lot of seats...

When I found my number, it turned out that I was the last person. Hey, that's not too bad! There was a food bar in the back, and also a bathroom. There was also a couch, but who needs a couch when I have my own room in a private jet?

I took a strawberry off of a pile on the food bar, then made it look like I hadn't taken one. How does the food even stay there during turbulence?

Magic, duh.

"Damien!" I accidentally said out loud. A person opened their jet door; I guess they wanted to be early as well. Hey, that's Will!
