As they made it through the entrance to the park it was starting to brighten up. It was now dusk and they didn't even care, neither of them had stayed out this late or I guess you could say this early but they did not mind. Jake checked his phone for the time and put it away. "What were you doing?" Liv asked curiously, in a untoned voice Jake said, "Nothing, just checking the time." Liv replied quickly, "And?" Jake was hesitant because he feared if he told her the time then she would need to go home or wouldn't want to stay out much longer. "Does the time really matter?" Jake said as he awkwardly laughed. "Well I mean no, but it's nice to know. Why don't you want to tell Me?" She wasn't worried much of the time, she had the day off and was comfortable being with this odd boy she had just met. He shyly looked at the ground as he walked, "I'm just worried if I tell you the time you might have to go, and I'm really enjoying my time with you." Liv's fave got really red and she smiled like crazy. "Wow, no one has ever said anything even close to that, people are usually weird about hanging out with me. I really enjoy your company." As they walked along the trail through the park Jake turned to Liv. "It's 5:30 in the morning and wow you're just beautiful." Then he kissed her. He wasn't sure where the confidence came from but he felt it was right. She was taken by surprise but had been hoping he would at some point. She kissed him back and he grabbed her waist. For a moment everything stood still, the world was quite and it was just them, no one else. Finally they stopped and just looked at each other. They smiled and then laughed because they didn't know what else to do. Then Liv was running and Jake was running too through the trails until they reached an old wooden bridge. Liv stopped and pulled out her smokes and offered Jake one. He took it and lit it then offered Liv his lighter she thanked him and lit her smoke. They both looked over the edge at the water beneath them rushing, a bird chirped in the distance and another replied. "What do you think they are saying to each other?" Liv asked quietly as she took a drag of her cigarette. "Hmm.. Maybe they are just trying to find each other.?" He said, not knowing what else they could be saying. "How about you? What do you think?" Liv pondered for a bit and then replied excitedly. "I think that one is the mum of their children and the other is out looking for food but he's taking too long so the mum is getting mad and telling him to look faster. The dad is getting angry because he's going as fast as he can and hates being nagged." She looked at Jake very intently and he started laughing. "You really thought about that, hey?" She looked back at him with her brow down and then realized it was pretty funny and laughed with him. As they finished Liv butted hers and went to throw it away but Jake pulled out an empty pack of just butts and insisted she put hers in it as well. They walked along the bridge and liv took an instant left into the bush along a very small trail that looked as if it had only been used ten times in the entirety of its existence but Jake followed. It came out at this little pool of water that had collected from the stream. As Jake looked around he looked up and about ten feet up the closest tree was a beautiful owl perched on a branch just staring at them. He did not say anything in fear of startling it but instead grabbed Liv pulled her close into him and pointed with his finger in her also pointing her finger up at the tree. It took her a second to follow where there hands directed but when she saw it she almost jumped. There was a stump not far from where they were standing and she directed them. Jake sat first and Liv on his lap. She nuzzled into his chest looking up at the owl and they sat just observing. After what seemed about an hour the owl started speaking and another larger owl came swooping down startling both Jake and Liv, it had a mouse in its claws and gave it to the smaller owl that had just been sitting there. They were not sure wether this was its mate or maybe a relative but it was a very nice gesture. When the Owls finally took off so did Jake and Liv. Continuing there walk only now they were doing it during the daytime.
