Bree didn't look back. She continued running down the street, but she never yelled for help. The werewolf howled as she turned into an alley and hid behind a dumpster. She heard the werewolf slowly coming closer and closer, one step at a time. She heard it breathing beside her as it growled lowly. She slowly turned her head. Its yellow eyes pierced at her blue eyes, and its growl grew louder.
A hand appeared on the werewolf's neck, and the wolf was lifted off the ground. A black-haired werewolf howled at the one that was chasing Bree. The black-haired one slammed the other wolf against the dumpster and tossed it at the brick wall on the opposite side. He howled again, and the werewolf ran off.
The black-haired werewolf took a strong, sudden step forward, but he stopped a few feet in front of Bree. He let out a deep breath, and his werewolf features vanished. He looked down at Bree with crashed eye brows, one suddenly raised. "Hi."
Bree's breath escaped her. "Hi." She slowly stood up.
He took a long look at Bree before speaking. "Are you okay?"
Bree nodded. Her eyes shifted as she looked in the direction she thought the wolf had taken. "Why aren't you like that werewolf? Aren't all werewolves wild and try to eat people?"
He looked in the direction the werewolf ran in. "I'm not like that one. I've been like this my whole life."
Bree's brows crashed together. "Wait. You were born one? YOU were BORN as a werewolf?"
He nodded. "It's something you get from being a Hale."
Bree's eyes widened as she smiled. "You're Derek Hale, aren't you?"
Derek looked at Bree. His brows crashed, but he looked down, lost in a quick thought. But he soon found the thought. "I'm not surprised you guessed correctly." He seemed to smile kindly. "What 's your name?"
Bree took a step toward him. "Bree."
He heard a few howls. His eyes, moved around, but not his head. "We need to get you somewhere safe." He abruptly picked Bree up and began running to his hide out.
Bree blushed. But she kept her head against Derek's chest, so he couldn't see her smiling. Once they arrived at the hideout, Bree looked around the first room. "This place is awesome. Does everything in here still work?"
Derek nodded, turning on a light. "My pack's out for tonight. That's part of the reason it looks abandoned. But it's actually very lively and cramped with them here sometimes... A lot of the times."
Bree smiled as she sat on the couch. "It feels welcoming either way."
Derek stared at Bree, his breath stilling.
Bree blinked. "Are you okay?" She grinned. "You're starting to look as terrified as I was."
Derek suddenly turned away. "I just..." He seemed to laugh and sigh at the same time. "I just, um, realized that I need to stay here."
Bree stepped towards Derek, and Derek froze, half-smiling. She smiled. "Why would you need to stay here? You're a werewolf. Do you have things to do?"
Derek rushed to the couch beside the large window. He sat looking away from Bree. "There would be no one to protect you if someone came in."
Bree paused. It was easy to get into this place. A werewolf wouldn't have a problem getting in. She nodded to herself and sat on the opposite side of the couch. She tried not to glance at Derek as she spoke. "You don't mean someone. You mean a werewolf."
Derek looked at Bree and moved closer. "Yeah. A lot of them tend to be stupid."
Bree turned to look at Derek and noticed how close he was to her. She semi-paused. "Y-you're really close."
Derek grinned. "You're really beautiful." He placed a hand on Bree's cheek. "I can't help myself. I really want to." He kissed Bree as her eyes widened a bit more. She closed her eyes and wrapped her arms around Dereks' neck as he kissed her again.
He lied on top of her, caressing her back and kissing her more passionately. He desperately pressed his body against Bree's, stroking her hair and beginning to kiss her neck. He kissed and sucked on Bree's neck before stopping and locking gazes with her. Out of breath he said, "This is... going to be really weird," he grinned, "and maybe a little insensitive, but since that first kiss, I really want you. For as long as I can keep you. Bree, will you be mine?"
Bree kissed Derek, sitting him up and lightly raking his hair. "I will."
Derek looked down for a moment. "Then don't be afraid. This might hurt a little." He looked back up with red-glowing eyes as he smiled. He moved Bree's shirt off of her shoulder, gently kissing it. Then, slowly and passionately, Derek pierced his teeth into Bree's shoulder. Bree let out a quiet grunt as Derek pushed his teeth in a bit further. She took a deep breath as he removed his fangs and locked gazes with her.
He scanned every inch of Bree's face. "Do you feel alright, beautiful?"
Bree grinned. "Never been better."
Derek smiled and kissed Bree. "You're the last love of my life."
