Chapter 2: The Festival

The ride to the festival wasn't very long since we were only about 10 minutes away from the beach. Emilia was rambling on to me about all the things that she was wanting to do there, but I was hardly listening. When I accepted going with her, I did it so fast, I didn't even think to ask if she invited Ryan. As wrong as it sounds, I was really hoping she didn't. I want some time alone with my best friend, but anytime we do anything, he tags along. I just hoped for the best and went along with it.
Soon enough we had arrived. We get out and look all around.

"Where first," she asked me excitedly.

"I don't care, but no spiny rides after we eat."

"Okay then we can go on some now!"
She grabbed my wrist and we went hurdling through the crowds to the first spinning ride she saw. It was one of those cheesy little bowl type things with the handle in the middle that you can spin around.
The line wasn't very long so we got on fast. I chose which one we went in, it was orange and had a number 7 on it.
We started spinning and we both were pushing it to go super fast.
The next thing I know, she is slowing down.

"What's wrong, are you okay," I ask looking at her.

"Oh yeah.. Look over there!"
She spun our seat around so we were facing a certain way.
"Right there! See! It looks like Ryan and Aaron!!"

My heart sunk.

The 2 of them were standing in the line for lemonade and somehow she noticed them. The minute the ride stopped she unlatched us and ran out. She ran straight to Ryan and jumped on his back. It was actually quite funny, he almost fell because he didn't expect it.

"Hey, I didn't know you guys were coming," Aaron said hugging me.

"Yeah it was a last minute thing," I said embracing his hug.

"Last minute? You mean the thing that I asked you about hours ago? Yeah last minute alright."

"Oh you know what I mean, we just decided today."

Aaron just laughed a little laugh and said, "it's fine."

"Where did you guys come from," Ryan asked, still in shock from being jumped on.

"Over there," she said pointing towards the ride. "I'm getting a little hungry, do you guys want to come with us to get something?"

They looked at each other shrugging their shoulders, "sure, as soon as our lemonade gets finished."

Great.. She invited them to come along.. Like always.
