"Madame Giry I must insist! It is urgent!" little Meg called, using her formal title in front of others as not only the managers but Carlotta were behind her, waiting for the ballet instructor to open her chamber doors.

Madame Giry huffed in annoyance, standing as she slowly walked to the shaking door, "One moment if you please!"

The group stood back as they now patiently waited for her to open the door, wondering how she was going to react to this newest of gossip. Usually the company did not include Madame in their inside knowledge seeing as how she already knew most of it by the time the thought arose to inform her, but today was different, sort of. The gossip itself was new but the person it was about, well she was used to gossip by now. Madame rolled her eyes at her peers, not only for interrupting her on her day off but trying to entice her to open the door by her own flesh and blood, that was starting to bother her. Her green dress slid smoothly against the newly polished floor as she abruptly opened the door, seeing Monsieur Andre's fist ready to knock on the door once more. Madame raised an eyebrow at him as he slowly unclenched his fist, lowering it back to his side as no one dared to speak.

"What was the urgency for if no one is going to open their mouths?" Madame stated, trying her best to hide her annoyance even though it seethed through.

The group looked down except for Carlotta, who had a huge grin on her face, "They-ah came here to tell you-ah the young Christine is depressed!"

"If she is depressed Madame Giudicelli, then why are you so chipper to tell me so?" Madame retorted, her hand clutching into its own fist behind the door that she held open.

Carlotta sneered in respond to her accusation and spoke nothing more, turning to take her leave as she saw no point in standing there. Once the fabrics of her extravagant outfit were out of sight, the managers took their turn to speak.

"Please Madame Giry," Monsieur Andre pleaded, his eyes filled with dread as he spoke to her hastily, "Christine refuses to eat or talk to anyone; not even the Vicomte! She's been like this for a month now Madame. She might need professional help."

Interesting Madame thought to herself, it has been a month since Erik and Constance went to London, hasn't it? She internally smiled at Erik finally having a chance at happiness and with a ballet rat nonetheless, but why was Christine so upset over Erik's disappearance? She faintly recalled Christine yelling about the two having an affair.

Christine then whipped her head around to face Madame, her curls bouncing over her shoulder as she did so, "Where are they?"

"Playing guessing games is unbecoming of you child, who are you talking about?" Madame Giry retorted, asking so in a cold tone that Christine did not expect.

She shivered slightly at Madame's unfriendly demeanor and continued her questioning, "You know whom I speak of! The Phantom and Constance; where are they? Down in the cellars again I presume? Reciting to one another the love that was unrequited of me-"

"Watch your mouth child!" Madame Giry bursted, walking towards Christine as she wrapped one arm loosely around her shoulders...

Well, when Christine had inquired they were not having any sort of relations. Unknown to her as to how their acquaintanceship began, it seemed to not matter any longer. Now it seems they were romantically involved and they wished to get away before Constance had to return to the stage once more. Madame wanted to reprimand them for leaving at first, having Erik beg her to get them train tickets so they could go undetected.

"Erik you cannot be serious! How am I supposed to sneak out of the opera house to purchase two tickets to London without raising suspicions?" Madame yelled, slamming her instructing notes down against his organ, the dancing notes sheets mixing up with Erik's Don Juan score.
