Ch 22

-Andy's POV-

Sat. Morning

"Never looking back, Loving every second of it, We just walk awaaay"

Chiodos music?

What?

Oh. Ughh. My alarm. Its saturday. I rolled over and sat up, feeling very grumpy. I picked up my phone and turned off the alarm. Carnival day. Thats right with Mina. I picked myself up and got ready. Jogged downstairs to find a table covered in breakfast plates made by mom. "Im going to the carnival with Mina today. Mmmm this is good!", I said, chewing on a cinnamon pancake. "Alright. Have fun!", Mom yelled as I headed out the door. I started my car and drove. Today was the day. It would be like old times. When I got there, Mina's mom answered still in sleeping clothes, long loose pants and an oversized shirt. Just like my mom without a robe. "Hey, Andy", she greeted with a smile. "Mina isnt up yet so you can just chill down here. I'll go wake her up." "No, Winnie. I think I should do it", I smirked. "Oh! Of course. You go right ahead", she said uneasily. "Oh dont worry, I wont bite", I laughed. I kicked my shoes off gently and jogged upstairs. There she was, in bed. Covers over her head. "Hey, babe. Good morning. We're heading out to the carnival today", I said quietly, pulling the covers from her head and kissing her forehead. "Mhm", Mina replied with closed eyelids, rolling over. "Come on! Wakey wakey, miss potatoey", I laughed. "Mmm stop, Andy. Its not funny. Im tired", she whined, puling a pillow over her head. "We wont go if youre gonna be like this all day." Mina immediately sat up, fixing her hair and blinking her eyes. "Im up. Im up", then she faced me.

"What are you doing in my room? My mom usually wakes me up."

"I told her I'd do it."

She got up from bed and oh- pink shorts, turqoise tank top, with her mid length wavy brown hair in a messy ponytail.

"Mina?"

"Yea?"

"Come here."

"Umm.. Okay?"

I wrapped my arms around her and looked deeply into her green eyes.

"You look beautiful as always."

I kissed her on the forehead and she blushed.

"Thanks. Can I go get ready now?"

"Of course. I'll be downstairs", I said, letting her go.

On the couch, I thought of all the things that have happened over the summer. It seemed like years since the talent show, diner/park date, the movie make out, shopping trip, Mina singing Trouble in my room, and the firecracker incident. Wow. But today. Today was going to be different. We werent just going to a carnival. We were going to Warped Tour, her dream. My phone vibrated in my pocket. I pulled it out and read the text.

From Jinxx, To Andy, Ash, Jake, CC;

We meeting up at the venue or what?

Me; Yea. Im still waiting for Mina then we'll be there.

CC; Im here already in the gate with Ash. Ya'll are so slow!

Jake; Im on my way.

Ash; In a porta potty. This is the worst place ever. *photo of porta potty from inside*

Me; What the f^ck, Ash?

Ash; Im kidding. Its a google image. But yea HURRY UP!! The Rolling Stones are playin soon!!

I put my phone away and stood up. Mina was at the bottom of the staircase, wearing a string bakcpack, a KISS tank top, cropped jean shorts, sunglasses and vans. Coincidentally, it was perfect for Warped! I smiled and she smiled back happily. We left hand in hand and drove for half an hour until we reached the venue.

"What do you think, babe?"

"Its exactly what i wanted", she says calmly.

"How come you arent shocked?"

"Well, its my dream. I keep track of it every year. You didnt think I knew? There is no carnival downtown AND you told me you bought tickets a long time back. Remember?"

"Aha. You, genius, crazy, amazing human potato!"

"Whatever!! Park your car! I wanna see my favorite bands!", she squealed excitedly.

I parked and we met with the guys at the venue.

-Mina's POV-

Oh. My. God. This was so exciting!! Ahhhhhhhh!!!!! Im dying. Like omf im about to cry. I pulled Andy towards a pizza truck, starving. I waited in line while Andy and the guys went to get some drinks. Someone tapped me on the shoulder. I turned around. Facing me, were Vic and Mike.

"Oh hey!! I didnt know you guys went to Warped! Its my first time here! Im so full of energy and hunger right now!", I jibbered.

"Haha! We felt that way when we first came, too."

"Like oh em gee! There are so many food trucks, its such a coincidence you found me!"

"Yep. We want to perform at Warped one day, too", Mike added.

Andy came back with drinks in his hands. Vic looked really shocked. "Yo! Youre Andy Sixx!! Oh my gosh. Your band is amazing! I love them. Mina! You didnt tell me you were dating a local hero", Vic exclaimed excitedly.

Andy seemed to be blushing.

"Well, Thanks! Mina, do you know these guys?"

"Yea! This is Vic and his brother, Mike, from the hospital! The guys that were stuck in the elevator with me", I said.

"Aha! You guys look familiar. Do i know you guys, too?"

"You probably heard our old album, A Celebration Of An Ending. We're part of the band, Before Today. Its around the internet and people seem to be spreading our local band around."

"Ohh. Thats right! I love your song, Pierce The Veil!"

"Thanks. It's the band's favorite song too", Vic said with a smile.

I was now in front of the line and ordered 2 pizzas. I knew the guys ate a lot. I paid and we sat at a table underneath a tent with Vic and Mike. Andy had invited them to eat with us after they also paid for a pizza. I ate a few slices and waited. While the guys stuffed theirselves and talked, I checked out Before Today. Wow. They were a pretty cool band. We finished eating (it was really fast) and I went back to the gates to buy a schedule instead of checking the inflatable. It was worth the money. People were being crushed infront of it. We said bye to Vic and Mike, telling them we could hang after Warped, and the band dispersed, leaving me with Andy. We checked out my favorite bands then watched his bands perform. It was perfect. Andy even crowd surfed and stayed in a pit for a couple minutes. It was so much fun. After that, we walked around, hand in hand buying band merch and CDs. I even got to meet a few members of my favorite band, Guns N Roses. It rained but it didnt ruin anything. Me and Andy kissed in the rain while everyone around us looked for cover. It felt pretty amazing. The day went fast. We met many band members, discovered bands we didnt know, and had sooo much fun. It was the best time of my life. Next thing I knew, we were all heading to Jinxx's place to hang out. I invited Cherri and Scout, since i was the only girl, and they were definetly in. I knew I could count on them to help me out and have fun, especially on a Saturday night. We partied, sang karaoke, had Vic sing with the band, ate more food, danced, and it was all so fun. We all went home at like idk 12 or 1? Mom didnt mind. She knew I was going out and she was sleeping comfortably in her room. Sunday morning rolled around and I stayed in all day, sleeping and watching tv in my pjs. It was a relaxation day. Mom stayed in bed all day long. She got food poisoning and I'd usually get up to check on her or help her with something. She was alright, though. She stayed strong. I made her lunch and dinner which was basically Ramen soup and microwavable chicken with mashed potatoes. The Monday came around and Scout just had to ruin everything.
