It's spring, the weather is perfect, the days are perfect, but unfortunately, my hair is not. My hair could only be described as a dark brown animal that has sat itself atop my head. I'm already late for my first day of school so I just give up and put a beanie on the mop that I call hair.
As I walked I listened to some music on my headphones. A really pretty black Impala passed by, I was so focused on it that I ended up awkwardly tripping over air my phone jumped out of my pocket and skidded to a stop. As if that wasn't embarrassing enough the car slowed down. I was hoping they were just having car trouble, unfortunately, that was not the case.
As the car came to a complete stop I rushed to try and get my things together. While I struggled a guy with blonde wavy hair stepped out of the car and was walking in my direction, I was so caught in the moment I forgot what was happening for a second. He leaned over and picked up my phone and handed it to me. "Thank you so much!" I said awkwardly taking my phone from this compleat stranger. "You like Panic! At the Disco?" He replied "Huh?" I said questioning how this random guy knew my music taste "Your phone. You were listing to them before you tested gravity." He replied with a smile "Oh right." I blushed and smiled slightly.
"So, you on your way somewhere or..?" "Oh my god, yes I'm gonna be late for school!" I quickly stood up and smacked my head against his chin "I'm so sorry!" I reached out my hand empathetically "But I.. I have to go I'm already gonna be late as it is!!" I ran down the street and toward the school. "Ok but you owe me now! What if you permanently disfigured me?!" "I know a great plastic surgeon!" I yelled back.
I finally made it to school, I took a deep breath and tried to act like I didn't just smack my face on someone else's face, unfortunately, I suck at acting so I just walked up to the doors with a stupid smile on my face.
I walked down the hall and tried to find my classes as best I could. I halfway listened to what my teachers were saying, but I was a little distracted. I'm never gonna see him again, I should just stop thinking about it. I told myself.
I managed to make it through my last class of the day. I started to make my way down the hall and made it all the way to the door, I was just about to open it when from the other side of the hallway a voice yelled "Hey wait up!" No oh no... No no no no. It's not. I slowly turned around. "You left this at the scene of the crime." He handed me a pencil with dried green paint all over it. "Uh this isn't mine." I said quietly "Really? I had no idea. Could have sworn this was yours, oh well. But since I'm already over here talking to you maybe it would just be best if you came with me." "Came with you where?" I asked suspiciously "Well that depends, what's your favorite color?" "Wait what's that have to do with anything? I just met you. How do I know you won't try to attack me or kill me or something?" "Well I'm not the one who head butted you in the chin." "I didn't mean to!" I yelled back. Suddenly everyone in the hallway looked at me and whoever this guy is that's trying to take me somewhere. He looked down at me and quietly said "You do owe me." "Fine." I said with reluctance "Now about your favorite color...." He said with a smirk.
