#7 Dirty Laundry

Breaunna laid back on the sofa and put her legs up. She laid her head back ready for whatever today's session would bring.

"Okay, Breaunna. Lets get back to where we left off yesterday shall we?" Dr. Williams smiled as she took out her yellow sheet notepad and pen.

Breaunna took a deep breathe and laid her hands on her stomach. She closed her eyes and began to reminisce her dark past.

It was years ago. I was like 18 years old. It was summer and we had just got off of tour. I was excited yet depressed all at the same time. I was happy to go back to Mobile, Alabama to see my family but I wasn't ready to go back to what I left. My ex-boyfriend.

We been together for only 6 months and had broken up before the tour. He was furious. He never wanted to break up with me but I just wasn't happy with him. He was never romantic and treated like dirt, especially around his friends.

One day we left a friends party and he had been drinking. I remember it as if it was yesterday. Because he was so waisted, I had to drive him home and nearly carry him up the stairs. His parents were out if town so I had no help. I got him to his room and was ready to leave when he grabbed my arm.

I remember asking him, "What are you doing?"

He stared at me for a while then leaned in to kiss me. I avoided the kiss by moving my head which apparently upsetted him. He grabbed and forcefully threw me onto his bed. I tried to get up but her quickly jumped ontop of me forcing me back down.

I was terrified.

He began to rip off my clothes and kiss all over me. I squirmed around and tried pushing him off of me but he was just too strong. After almost stripping me bare, he changed his position giving me the chance to kick him in his balls.

He got up and stumbled back a little. I tried once again to get up but this time instead of pushing me back on the bed, he punched me. Hard. Before I knew it, I blacked out. That's all I remember from that night.

"Where were you when you woke up? How did you feel?" Dr. Williams asked.

"I still in his bed. My face hurted badly." Breaunna answered.

"Did your mother ever find out about this?"

"No. I kept it from her for years. " Breaunna continued. "I don't know what she would've done if I told her that I got raped. "

"What did he say when you broke up with him that day before you left to tour?" Dr. Williams asked writing in her notepad.

Breaunna stared off into space.

"He begged me to stay. But I just couldn't. I couldn't take the pain anymore. He grabbed my wrist and I snatched it back from him once again pissing him off. He slapped me to the floor. "

"That's terrible. What happened after that?" She asked.

"We were at my mom's house and she pulled up. He ran but turned around and told me the words that made me terrified. "

"What exactly were those words?"

"I'll be back for you. No matter how long it takes. Trust and believe, I will find you!" Breaunna said in her best imitation of him.

The timer went off jumping Breaunna out of her daze.

"Well, times up. I'll see you tomorrow 4 o'clock sharp. " Dr. Williams said removing her glasses.

"Okay, see you tomorrow. "

"Oh and Breaunna, do me a favor. " she insisted.

"What is it?" Breaunna asked raising her eyebrows.

"Bring your mother with you. I believe there are some things that need to be discussed amongst the two of you. "
