"Kayo-chin! Let's go out! I wanna show you something great!" Rin said with excitement.
"O-okay, Rin-chan. But, do calm down, hehe." Hanayo responded.

They walked all the way to the park they went to almost everyday when they were younger.

"K-kayo-chin.." Rin stuttered.

"What's wrong, Rin-chan? Is there something you'd like to tell me?"

"I...r-really like you!" Rin blurted out.
"..Rin-chan." Hanayo said, giving her sweet smile.
"I-I like you too!" She said, a little startled by her own voice.
They were about to ki--

"WHAT HAPPENED? WHY? THIS WAS ALL JUST A DREAM? BUT KAYO-CHIN! ALRIGHTY! TODAY I'M GONNA CONFESS-NYA!!"

Rin had been waiting for this day to come. It was what kept her tired all night. How to confess to her, what to say to her, even how to approach her!
She was very excited. She was positive what Hanayo's response would be.

She looked at her phone. 7 a.m.
She got ready for school.
She went up to Hanayo's house, as she always did, and it seemed pretty awkward between these two. Rin was never awkward nor silent near Hanayo. In fact, Hanayo is probably what makes her mouth keep going.

"Kayo-chin~! I got you rice balls today! Here!" She passed her rice balls to Hanayo.

"Geez Rin-chan, I love how I can easily get rice balls because of my great friends! B-but... Are you sure you'd just give them to me? W-well, they are rice balls! Gotta appreciate!" Hanayo ate up the rice balls on their way to school and met up with Maki too.
"What's up, guys! Oh, Hanayo-chan! You seem really happy today!" Honoka spotted the three.
"Yea! Rin-chan gave me rice balls! What a great friend isn't she,"
"Yea, she is! You guys are really cute together, huh" Honoka commented, making Rin excited without noticing.
Maki smiled at the situation.

They headed to their respective classes and for the whole day, Rin couldn't sit still.

During lunch break, Rin brought Hanayo to the school's least utilized restroom and they just stood there.

After a while, Hanayo spoke.
"Rin-chan, what are we here for?" She asked.
"K-kayo-chin..." Rin spoke softly. She barely speaks in a quiet voice which made Hanayo giggle a little.
Rin saw Hanayo giggled and immediately ran away.

Hanayo felt cold; she felt that she just made Rin really mad. She must've wanted to tell her something important, Hanayo thought.

During the rest of lunch break, Hanayo sat in a stall and quietly sniffled and sobbed, until Umi came in.

"Hanayo-chan, what's wrong?" Umi asked as she knew Hanayo's voice, even as Hanayo was crying, as she cries quite often.

"I-I think I m-made Rin-chan mad, I gi-giggled at her when sh-she spoke softly because i th-thought it was cute." Hanayo spoke while crying. Umi had a hard time listening to her, but she managed to understand.

"Hanayo-chan, if you giggled at her because of how cute she was maybe you should just tell her, maybe then she wouldn't be mad at you." Umi said in a soothing voice.

"But w-what if that isnt t-the reason as to w-why she's mad?" Hanayo's sobbing got louder.

"Rin-chan, of all people wouldn't be mad over such a thing, don't you think so?" Umi doesn't stop trying to calm her.

"You're right!" Hanayo said out of sudden.

She opened the stall's door and went to a sink and washed her face. She thanked Umi and went back to class.

As she opened the door to her class, Rin immediately gave her a tight hug, and in a shivery voice, she said,
"Hanayo-chan, I love you. Not a friend kind of love, but a love kind of love. Be my girlfriend please?" Rin kept on hugging her.

"Uhm. Ok. Let's talk about it at the rooftop after school, okay?" Hanayo said with a smile that didn't seem as warm as most of her smiles.

Rin gave a smile that was quite the contrary. She smiled showing all her teeth, with the most happiest expression Hanayo has probably ever seen.

After school, they were at the rooftop and Hanayo took out a box of sweets.

"I.." Hanayo couldn't get the words out of her mouth. She was quietly sobbing again.

"I'm sorry, Rin-chan!!" She shoved the box of sweets into Rin's hands and ran away.

"Kayo-chin, wait up!" Rin shouted. She didn't go after Hanayo though. Instead, she looked in the box of sweets. There was a note.

I love you alot, Rin-chan. But I don't love you romantically.

Rin was heart broken. But in life, everything can't go the way she wants it to. She tells herself.

The next day, she came to school with a big smile on her face.
"Kayo-chin~!" These words left her mouth the moment she saw Hanayo.

"We may not be lovers but we're still best friends, right, right?" She continued.

"Of course we are! Bestest of friends!" Hanayo agreed.

Rin walked home alone today. She told her teacher she was sick and asked for permission to head home first, which she was given.

"Kayo-chin dislikes...me? This is embarassing. All this while.. I THOUGHT SHE FELT THE SAME WAY!" Rin cried out while biting on her fingers. They were bleeding.

"Ah! I know what I'll do. Yes. It will be a happy ending for me." Rin said in sad tone.

That night she slept with a kitchen knife, hoping it would give her an injury while she slept, she didn't want her plan to work. Even if she did liked the idea.

The next day, she woke up with no injuries. Well, her almost very immediate idea yesterday has been planned, and it seems that she intended to stick to it.

The day before, she already messaged Hanayo to meet her at the rooftop first thing in the morning.

Hanayo was 5 minutes early, and Rin was happy for that.

They both went to the edge of the rooftop and had a friendly conversation.
It was a happy time for both of them.

"Kayo-chin, there's something on your shoe. I'll get it for you." Rin said bowing down to grab Hanayo's leg.

"Thanks-- RIN-CHAN! WHAT ARE YOU DOING!!!" Hanayo screamed out loud as Rin pushed her off the rooftop and grabbed onto her and fell with her.
"Now you'll be only mi-"
They both hit the ground, dead.
