"I know Livvy, it sucks really bad...but we all know it was going to come sooner or later...right?" I tried to comfort my best friend, Olivia Parker, who's dog died of old age.

She sniffled, "I know...but it's just all too emotional for me." She took my sleeve and blew her nose into it. I crinkled my nose in disgust.

Me and Olivia have been best friends since third grade. She was the peanut butter to my peanut butter and jelly sandwhich, the lucky to my charms, the condom to my vag- well, you get the point. In other words, we were super close and almost did everything together.

Ending her sob fest. she looked up at me with her crystal blue eyes that were now tinged red from her crying and tucked a strand of her strawberry blonde hair behind her ear. "So, enough about my dog," she smiled slightly as she nudged my shoulder, "What's been going on with your life?"

I bit my lip with concentration. If she was sobbing her eyes out just because her dog died, how would she react when I told her I was moving a thousand miles away?

"U-um yeah, about that..."

It's been a really really messed up week, seven days of torture, seven days of bitter, and-

I mentally sighed in relief at the ringtone bursting through Olivia's iPhone. She got her phone from her bag and smiled when she read the called ID. "Hello?" She picked up. "Hey baby, yeah I miss you too!"

I face palmed. They just saw each other like an hour ago! Olivia had a boyfriend named Austin. Sure he was cute and all with his brown hair and green eyes, but when they were together, they were your typical annoying lovey-dovey couple. That's exactly why I don't date.

I rolled my eyes as she said, as usual, "No, I miss you more! No, that's not possible!" Pause. She giggled, "Oh you naughty boy, maybe I can come make your little junior feel better." She winked at me. Ok, that's it...I'm not standing this crap anymore.

I easily took the phone out of Olivia's small hand and put it to my ear. "Hi Austin." I greeted him, dodging all the moves Olivia was attempting to get her phone back.

"Uh, hi Em?" He replied in confusion. Livvy stuck her tongue out at me and I just simply rolled my eyes at her.

"Listen, can you do me a favor?"

"Uh, sure?"

"STOP HAVING SEX THROUGH THE PHONE AND GO GET A ROOM THEN DO WHATEVER THE HELL Y'ALL WANT TO DO, k? Love you, bye!" I hung up. I chuckled when I saw my best friend's face that almost resembled a tomato.

"You're such a bitch." She mumbled, trying to hide her face in her hair.

"Don't hide your beautiful face, cause gggUUUurrlLLl yyyOOouur amMMaaAzzZZziiiInnN, jjJuSSSs theEEEe waaAAAyYYy YYYyooOOoUuU aRRrEEe!" I sang to her extremely off-key.

She giggled and looked up at me. "Now he's gonna be soo embarassed the next time he sees me and you together!"

"Hey hey, I love you and all, but I don't roll that way."

"YOU KNOW WHAT I MEAN!"

I laughed along with her in the treehouse in my backyard. My dad and I built it together when I was about 8 right after we grew a huge oak tree. It tok about 2 years to make it, but it was all worth the splinters and the accidental screws and nails in our feet.

As me and her looked up at the stars, Olivia gasped beside me. "Look it's a shooting star!" She exclaimed like a little girl while pointing up to the sky. I looked at where she was pointing and she was correct; a beautiful streak of light flashed across the sky so fast over the pink and purple hues of the midnight sky. "Make a wish."

I squeezed my eyes tight and thought to myself, I wish life in Texas won't be any different then it is here in Colorado, as well as my friendship with Olivia.

Olivia looked and me and smiled, "What'd you wish for?"

I smiled back weakly, "If I told you, it wouldn't come true."

"That is so cliche!" She giggled, "You know, that's what every line in a dramatic movie says!" When she said that, realization hit me like a taco truck hit Freddie in iCarly. My life will basically be a dramatic movie when I move to Texas; new boyfriend, new personality, new lifestyle, new friends, new house, new house, new neighbors, etc. But I'm not going to be a cliche teenager and just change my lifestyle, just because I'm moving to another state.

...but maybe I will change my personality just a smidge. And maybe my wardrobe...

With shaky hands and my body sweating in places where places shouldn't sweat, I inhaled deeply and blurted out, "I'M MOVING TO TEXAS."
