I explain to Dad and everyone that I was the one that started the race. They were shocked but also amazed." I have an idea" Ollie announced. " Go on, what is it?" I replied. "Well I just completed my grades in Dt and I'm top of the class. I know how to make really good weapons. I could create a blaster and a poison using my chemistry set and one of us could fire it and destroy the aliens." he suggested. No one spoke for several minutes then "Let's do it" Dad said. He nods. I nod. Pippa nods. Fin nods and Ollie runs to the garage to get started.
An hour later he runs back into the living room and presents a large metal blaster. Then says "There is only one bullet. If you miss it will take too long to make a new one before the aliens get to us. One of the aliens has green eyes. Hit that one, he's the brain of the operation.". He hands me the gun and I nod and go outside. I pull the clicker back and aim at the alien. I inhale and fire. It shoots towards the alien and misses."SHIT!!" I yell, angry at my mistakes. I run back into the house and Ollie throughs a metal grenade at me.
I dash back outside, pull the pin and lob it with all my strength.
