[Chapter 01 || Archangel]

Dean's eyes snapped open then suddenly squeezed closed again as the sunlight through the window burned them, making them water a little. After a moment he opened his eyes in a squint and looked around the room. It was his room. He was in his large, comfortable bed. Something...Something was off though and suddenly, he remembered.

" You've got to be kidding me!" Dean raised his voice. "After all the work we did on this project, they just decide they don't want to work with us anymore? We had a deal!"

"That's what they said, sir." His assistant Garth sighed.

"That's bullshit, complete bullshit!" Dean clenched his fists, trying to settle himself down. "They're probably going to sell to Dick Roman now."

"Dickhead Roman?"  Garth cocked a brow.

"Yeah." Dean sat down at his large wooden desk and rubbed his temple. He glanced to the window behind him, seeing the afternoon sky. It was going to get dark. "You know what, Garth? Let them. They'll see what they lose." He got up. "I'm heading home." He picked up his bag.

"That's surprising, you usually stay late." Garth said.

"Yeah, well, I decided I could use a break." Dean nodded his head. "See you tomorrow, Garth."

"See ya, Mr.Winchester."

Dean was quick to leave the building. Okay, he lied. He wasn't heading home. It had been a long time since he's wanted to do this but he was going to. He had a bar in mind, one that was dirty and rough yet had the best drinks you ever did taste. The Archangel. Strange name for a bar, yeah.

Years ago Dean had been a drunk, didn't amount to anything but he soon quit and turned his life around with the help of his lawyer brother, Sam and his wife Jess, who was currently pregnant. Sam was hoping it would be a girl, just so he could name her after their mother Mary who passed when they were young.

After Dean turned his life around and stopped doing one of his favorite things: drinking, he went to school and now he was here, a rich business man with an amazing life.

Things were looking up, well, before this of course.

Dean got into his car, a nice old Impala that was his father John's and sped off. He hadn't been to this bar in years, surely it would of changed by now. New workers, new stools and new wallpaper. Well, you'd think anyway.

The businessman parked his car in the almost empty parking lot and got out, swallowing thickly. He stuffed his wallet into his pocket, making sure it was secure and locked the car twice to make sure it too was secure.

This wasn't a place for someone like him.

His green eyes scanned the area. It was almost dark out by now and the streets were dimly lit with the few street lamps that weren't broken. The other stores and homes around here were dirty looking and almost run down, some even had smashed window.

This definitely wasn't a place for someone like him.

Dean thought about going back for a split second but before he knew it he was walking over to the bar which had a neon sign outside saying ARCHANGEL in capitals. The light on it flickered.

You know what? He deserved this. He deserved a god damn drink or two.

He adjusted his tie before pushing the large wooden doors of the bar open and walking inside.  There was music playing in the background, Do I Wanna Know - Arctic Monkeys.

The bar was wooden and long. Behind the bar were shelves full of glasses and drinks that were various colors. There were wooden tables and chairs, mostly empty. There were a few people here like at one table there was a group of men with dirty beards playing cards, mumbling a few things every now and again and at another table was a man, who was clearly young with a woman who was definitely older.
