Cam's POV
"So... would I be able to take you on a date?" I ask Scarlet while still on my lap. She turns her head and smiles from ear to ear.
"Um, I think that would be okay." She says back. She stands up and fixes her shirt, while letting out a deep sigh.
"We can talk more tomorrow. I really need to get changed out of these clothes. Goodnight Cam." Scarlet tells me. I lay back down on the couch and stare at the ceiling as she walks back into the other room. Now here's the hard part. Where can I take Scarlet on a nice first date? I don't want it to be too romantic, but I still want us to be able to talk about our feelings. I silently tap my fingers over my stomach while thinking. That's when I get the perfect idea. Bowling.

The Next Morning
I turn over on my side and see the early morning sunlight peering through the closed window. After blinking hard a few times to clear my eyes, I look at the time on my phone. It's only 7:25 in the morning, but I am feeling unbelievably anxious. I slowly sit up on the couch, feeling every bone in my back crack. I am not used to sleeping on something so uncomfortable.
I stand up and walk past the kitchen to my room, where the door is slightly cracked open an inch or so. Scarlet was still sleeping. I walked back to the kitchen and sat down at the table, switching on the TV. Nothing is really on this early, other than paid programs on weight loss diets and exercise programs. I turn the volume down to a whisper, and go to the fridge. It seems like I stand in the fridge for an hour, trying to find something good to eat. Sometimes I even come out empty handed.
After a while, I finally give up and take out a box of Krave Cereal. It's good stuff man! I don't know how to explain the outside pieces, but the inside is filled with chocolate. Every child's dream is to have chocolate for breakfast.
I peer down at my phone screen and see Scarlet's face staring back at me. Oh how her eyes shimmer. I feel so much lighter and happy when she's around me. I like the influence she has brough upon me.
Finally, I hear my bedroom door squeak open. Scarlet comes through the doorway, squinting from the bright lights hitting her eyes.
"Good morning." I say. Her hair is a complete mess, she has bags under her eyes, and she barely looks ready to do anything today.
"I feel like shit." She says, wiping her face with her hands. "I didn't sleep at all last night until, like, 3 in the morning. Something was keeping me up." She says.
"Why didn't you come get me?" I ask her, concerned. She shrugs her shoulders and starts to walk to the kitchen table. "I didn't wanna wake you." Scarlet looks at me saying.
I stand up and pour her a glass of orange juice. She shoots it down like a shot glass, then slams it back down on the table. It takes me a few seconds to gain some courage, and then I blurt out what I've been thinking about all night long.
"Let's go bowling today... I mean, after we get some coffee or something in you to wake you up!" I say jokingly. To my amaze, she lets out a giggle, finding my jokes somewhat funny.
"Where?" Scarlet asks. There were a few good bowling places in town, but at one place my friend, Jason works at; he gives me a free game round and free sodas. He really shouldn't, but he says he will pay for it later, out of his own paycheck.
"Let's go to Woodlawn's. They are good. " I say. "I will pay for everything, so all you have to do is come with me, and it'll be a done deal." I say to her. She smiles at me, and nods her head 'yes'. And suddenly, today is the best day ever.
