I opened my eyes and all I saw was a bright blue sky. Birds were chirping and the cool breeze was belong and I felt like I was in heaven. My head was hazy and I couldn't remember my own name. I sat up. I groaned at the feeling of pressure in my head. I closed my eyes. A piercing noise sounded and I crouched down trying to get away.
"Good morning all and welcome to the games." I looked around looking for people I may recognize. No one was near. "In order to survive you will have to kill. Strapped to you is a timer. Once the timer runs out it will inject a deadly poison into you in exactly 48 hours from when I get done talking." I looked down and saw what I was wearing. I was dressed in an all black leather suit and in the middle on my stomachs was a big box that had numbers on it. "Your names are on your suits. Let the games begin."
I stood up and looked around. I was surrounded by woods. To my left there was a path, to the right there was a backpack. I walked to the backpack and crouched down. The timer was ticking. I could faintly hear it, but I knew it was there.
Inside was a flashlight, a knife, a box of matches, a bottle of water and a key.
What was the key for?
I looked around my surroundings again looking for anything that could help me out. Nothing I saw absolutely nothing. I felt my chest start to ache and my knees start to weaken. Oh no. Is this a panic attack?
I sat down closed my eyes and took deep steady breaths. My chest pains started to subside. I opened my eyes just staining straight ahead. I looked down at the timer.
47:34 I let out one last breath and stood up.I grabbed the backpack and slung it around my shoulder. I followed the path determined to make it out of this alive. It's either kill or be killed.
