Synopsis
This story recounts Alejandro's life and the battles he had to endure during the war in Cuba, how the had to escape, his place of birth and where he was raised. It was this same place where he lost the person he most loved in the world, his mother, they had murdered her. At the same time he lost his home and everything he owed during the war. Alejandro and Alberto who also lost everything including his family (two children and his wife) planned how to escape to start a new life away from so much tragedy that had happened to them.
Chapter 1
In the Caribbean island of Cuba, was a small village called Taina, it had beautiful landscapes full of splendid colors, it's tropical warm climate was humid and pleasant but it could also be very hot and stuffy. The island had very few inhabitants so everyone knew each other and got along very well, they all supported each other when problems arose in order to resolve them as soon as possible. The little town was very charming and welcoming to all people, this actually was the main attraction for tourist which visited the little village year round. every year. Tania was favorite destination for tourists that was certainly well known by all the villagers.
On his way back home from work Alejandro stopped suddenly grasping a fresh breath of air as he pondered what a beautiful place he lived in and kept walking along a path that was a shortcut to his village, he loved to contemplate the unique and peculiar green color of the vegetation, he loved to watch how trees intertwined, it was impossible to see where one ended and the other began and the birds that lived on them were even more beautiful because they had very unique and striking colors and there singing was like hearing the angels sing, he loved to take that shortcut because it brought him fond memories of his childhood, when he played with his friend Alberto racing full speed to see who could making it to the beach first.
Both Alberto and Alejandro liked very much to go to the beach and spend the day with their friends and families, they always enjoyed great times specially when their grandparents captured their attention which the most amazing stories , they just kept getting better and better and just when they thought that the story they just heard was awesome along came a second story surprisingly even more thrilling, they just couldn't get enough.
The small village of Taina had a hidden treasure, there beyond the hills was the beach, it was beautiful it had white sands like clouds and the waters were deep blue like the blue sky on a sunny day, but in the ocean's bed laid many objects and secrets of wrecked ships and vessels that had sunk in those wonderful waters. They loved to swim and dive looking for shells, corals and precious objects that could serve to decorate their rooms and houses. All of a sudden in between all these memories it came to mind that it was too late and that his mother would be worried about him since he never came home so late so he decided to leave his memories behind and hasten his pace to get home quickly.
His house was small but very well organized and cozy, it's walls were painted with a soft pink, everywhere you could appreciate the large collection of sea shells, rocks and precious objects he brought back from the beach, plus mom's ornaments gave a special touch to their home, all were welcome at Alejandro's home, both his mother and him loved to received visits and make them feel at home.
When he got home his mother was waiting for him in the living room, she was very worried and scared because it was very late, when she saw him coming in she greeted him with a big hug after she overcame her fear she scolded him having taking so long had have her with the uncertainty of whether he was ok or something serious had happened. Alejandro apologized to her and promised he would never do this again.
Chapter 2
Alejandro went to work every day very early in the morning, he worked all day and just took a little break for lunch then he continued his work until the day ended and had to return home.
