Luke sighed as he tapped his finger against the marble table as he watched the door of the café anxiously. He brought the cup to his lip as he thought back over his plan. 'okay. So all I have to do is not push the proposal that much. I'll just idle around the topic' he repeated to himself mental pulling away from the cup because he had burnt his tongue.

He glanced up and held his breath as his eyes immediately found her as she idly glanced around the café for him. He pulled at his lip ring between his teeth unintentionally as he watched her from a far off and she turned his head to her direction. When her dark brown eyes met his blue ones she tensed but rolled her eyes playfully.

Luke smile crookedly at her still not being able to fathom that that was the same geeky girl that went to his high school. She was originally from England but her descent had been a mixture of Latina and African. Due to that she wasn't treated like everyone else. Like wouldn't be a bastard to cover that racism was present in his high school but he honestly didn't mind her.

It was right, she was different, but it wasn't a bad different. It was a special different. That special different that made her so admirable.

As she approached him he eyed her makeup that seemed to be carefully applied by an artist then he eyed her dark curly hair that was held back by a flower crown. "Hey Luke" she said sitting in the seat in front of him and he smiled. "Hey Aria" he said already too excited that his plan might be work.

He hadn't put it into place yet but he was still pent up with anxiety. An odd silence passed through them as they stared at each other. Aria broke the state with a sigh as she glanced down to her phone.  "Nice top" she said breaking the silence and Luke looked down at his shirt then chuckled when he realized it was the one with a giraffe on it.

"Yeah. Had someone make a very cool looking version of animated Stanley and print on my T" he explained and she looked at him suppressing a smile. "Is that so?"she asked sarcastically and he chuckled but ignored her. "You look good too. But that's a regular I guess. Have you ever looked into modeling?" Luke asked bluntly and she nodded slowly.

"Yeah. But as I said. I already have a job. Modeling..."she trailed off averting her gaze as she chewed on the bottom of her lip. "Yeah?"Luke asked noticing she hadn't made all of her point. "Nothing. So how's your career?"she asked changing the subject.

Luke noticed this but he also noticed that the conversation was going into the right track. He couldn't backtrack now. At the analysis of his options he eagerly took the bait and Aria visibly relaxed when she noticed he had dropped it.

"It's okay. I mean I love it, I love the team that I work with and I'm not really pressured to do anything that u don't want to. The thing is though, if we don't drop an album in the next three months then nothing that we do after that will gain recognition of the public. It's rough. Sure it looks easy to just right an effing album and get it over with but.....it isn't" he ranted then his eyes searched hers frantically as he noticed how queasy she'd gotten as he went on.

"Of Course it's also easy to hire anyone to help us write or co-write it with some other artist. The thing is though, not all our available options fit what we're going for and...everyone else are kinda busy with their own things. So we have to wait it out."he said again and observed her. She looked like a trapped lamb in the thickets.

I'm making her uncomfortable he thought then blew out a heavy breath as he changed the topic.

"Want coffee?" He tried meekly and she glanced up at him. "I'm okay. I should probably get going"she muttered below her breath as she stood and he stood too almost abruptly. "Would you like a ride-" "No it's okay. I'll catch the bus" she said cutting him off as she began to walk off and he followed her mindlessly.

"But I can-" "Luke".

She cut him off sharply and a few heads turned to where they stood and she blushed as she stared at him in shock. She didn't mean to attract attention but he was too persistent. "I'm okay" she added softly to lighten the tension she had created and he frowned slightly. "Okay" he said quietly then watched her as she gave him a small wave and exited the café.

Shit.
