Kion isn't a normal lion cub because he has been chosen to be the leader of the lion guard. The lion guard is the team that protects the pridelands and defends the circle of life and Kion has been chosen by the elders of the past lion guards to lead the new one. Kion is the son of Simba and Nala. He is the fiercest animal in the pridelands and has the gift of the roar of the elders.
