A few days later...
"Now Calvin" Pearl says "in order for you to fight, you need to master balance". "OK" Calvin says as he gets his sword ready. "You have to feel like you're always on flat ground" Pearl says "like me for example, always balanced". "Until something knocks you over" Amethyst said. "Amethyst!" Pearl shouted "do you always have to joke about everything?" "Yea" Amethyst said. "As I was saying, balance is key in battle, let's set up the training Pearl shall we?" Pearl said "beginners level 2". A training Pearl appears. "Let's do this" Calvin says as he gets his sword ready. Calvin starts fighting the Pearl hologram, Calvin, despite his clumsiness, maintains his balance. Steven, Connie and Peridot sits down to watch Calvin train. "Calvin's getting better isn't he?" Steven asks. "He is" Connie says excitedly "that means he and I will be able to train together soon!". "This also means that he'll be able to go on missions with us too" Garnet says as she sits down next to Steven. "Yea" said Amethyst "that would be cool". "At least he has a shirt on this time" Peridot says "what was it called again?". "An undershirt" Steven answers "it's a type of shirt guys wear under another shirt". Calvin slays a few more holograms. Calvin does better than he expected, until, suddenly he steps on a stray rock, sending his footing off balance. "Whoa!" Calvin yells as starts to fall to the ground. Calvin doesn't fall far until the Pearl hologram rams her sword into Calvin's right shoulder. "ACK!" Calvin shouts as he falls to the ground. "Calvin!" Peridot shouts as she runs towards him.
