True feelings

Rosie's here

Sofia's POV

I wake up and jump out of bed because today is when my best friend comes home for two weeks. I look at my clock it's 8:00 AM she is going to be here at 10:00 AM. I have two hours to take a shower, get dressed and make us breakfast before she gets here. Jake should be here at 8:50 AM to run some errands for me and help me finish cleaning up the apartment. Nate wanted to help me out, he even said he would to the day off so he can see Rosie and help me. But I told him no go to work Rosie isn't going anywhere you can see her when you get home, and Jake can help me but thanks for the offer.

Its 9:00 and Jake still isn't here, maybe he is just running late. I'll just keep working until he gets here.

It's now 9:10, he isn't coming so I go and run my errands and come back within 20 minutes and start cooking.

Its 9:25 and the food is cooking and I'm rushing to finish cleaning and get the guest room ready.

Its 9:35 and the food is almost ready just twenty more minutes, the apartment is clean and I am just finishing up the guest room. All I have left to do is finish the laundry, and wait for the food to finish cooking and go check the mail.

It's about 9:45 and the food should be done in ten minutes. So I can just wait until she gets here. There is only one load left and it's in the dryer.

Ten minutes goes by and the food is done. She should be here in five minutes. I get a text a moment later from Rosie saying [I'm outside come help me with my bags please?]

So I put my sandals on and grab my apartment keys and run as fast as I can to the elevator and right as I'm about to walk in I bump into this really hard wall figure thing and I fall to the ground. I look up to see my boyfriend looking at me with a smile. He helps me up and says "Why you in a rush. How did you even know I was coming?"

I respond back with an irritated look and say "I'm not in a rush for you. And I knew you were coming because I told you that you had to come over today a week ago. You were supposed to BE here an hour ago! You forgot!"

He doesn't say anything and I don't have time for his bullsh*t today. I don't have time to be mad at him my best friend is downstairs waiting for me.

I push him out of my way get into the elevator it closes before he could say something honestly I'm glad I didn't want him to f*ck up my mood when my best friend is here. But he has a key to my apartment so he can just wait there until Rosie and I are done getting her bags.

I get off the elevator and go look in the parking lot I see her car but no her. Then all of a sudden I hear my Rosie's voice screaming "AHHHH" I turn around and we both jump at each other at the same time into a hug.

I say "I missed you so much"

She says "Me too"

So we go back upstairs with her bags and walk into my apartment. I put her stuff in the guest bedroom. I come back out an I see Rosie already made herself at home like usual she had her plate of food in her hand, sitting on the couch with her feet up, and had the remote in her other hand . I look around to see where Jake went. But I couldn't find him, so I'm assuming he went back to his place. Then I walk back into the kitchen make my plate, then go into the living room. I sit down say grace.

Rosie says "Your phone went off like 4 times."

I remember I plugged my phone in over by the couch while I got stuff ready for Rosie.

I go over to my phone and see three texts from Jake saying "I'm sorry for forgetting." Can we please talk later babe.", "Please don't be mad at me baby".

I was mad at first but reading those texts made me not mad anymore, because I felt like he was sincere. Honestly I didn't care anymore either. But I wasn't going to text back just yet. He isn't going to get off this easy, he did forget. So I am going to pull this out for a little bit.
