I fall languidly into his arms,
Reveling in our physical unity and connectedness.
At this moment, nothing matters but the feel of his lips,
Soft caresses freely flowing between us.
Post sex in its greatest form,
I sigh, he sighs, I breathe, he breathes
I don’t want to move.
I’m so damn conflicted in this freedom
I don’t love him, never will
Not like he wants me to
And I want to, but I can’t, I can’t.
So, I lie here,
Lying to him with my actions
Promising with my kiss
Insuring our future with my touch
All the while knowing he’s not who I need
Not who I crave
But, ignorance is bliss
I think
I sigh, he sighs, I breathe, he breathes
I don’t want to move.
