I woke up from my nap with 4 missed calls and 12 new messages. Almost all from Luke, except for one. It was from Jai.
u okay?? have you seen luke?
I texted him back quickly and sat my phone back down. Of course I haven't seen Luke, and no I'm not okay. As I sat on the bed, there was a knock at my window, I walked over and opened the curtain to find Luke's face.
"What do you want?" I crossed my arms over my chest.
"I just want to talk, Cayden. Okay, I'm sorry for last night." He yelled through the glass. I finally opened the window but not the screen, just so I could hear him.
"You should be. How the hell can you honestly think that I would cheat on you with your own flesh and blood? I'm in love with you, Lucas. I'm so in love with you and it's breaking me.." I looked down and spoke quietly.
"You.. you're in love with me?" He spoke gently.
"Luke, you're by far the best and worst thing that has ever happened to me. And although some days are worse than others, I still love you with all my heart." A tear fell onto the window sill.
He walked through the window and gave me a hug, kissing my forehead, "I'm in love with you, too, Cayden."
I kissed his cheek and he squeezed me tighter, rocking back and forth.
"I'm so sorry, Cayden. I should have been there for you last night. I should be there for you all the time, and I know that I'm not always there." He looked me in the eyes, "I promise, from here on out, I will be next to you every step of the way. You're my whole world."
He tucked a strand of hair behind my ear and kissed me softly.
"I love you, Luke."
"I love you, Cayden."
We laid down in my bed and just stayed next to each other for hours, just looking into eachothers eyes and holding eachother.
His phone began to ring and he answer, "Yeah, mate?..... Now?..... Okay, I'll see you later."
He looked at me with sad eyes, "That was Daniel."
I kissed his cheek, "I understand. Duty calls."
He stood up before kissing my forehead, "I love you."
He walked out the oor as I whispered, "I love you, too."
