I can hear the voices of the people standing around me. What the hell happened? I went out to the club in town, Crimson, bought tequila shots and a VRB, and then followed the girl out the club...
Oh god... The girl she-
My eyes suddenly fly open and I sit up. All the previous noise ceases. I look around the room, it's a bedroom. A double bed, closet, bathroom to the right. People. Three of them; one has a stethoscope around his neck, the doctor I take it, his brown hair is short throughout and his eyes are brown, ruff stubble lines his cheeks. If I had to guess he'd probably be in his mid thirties. The next is a woman, the red-head from the bar. Her eyes are blue with flecks of brown around the pupil. She's a few inches taller than the doctor but the girl, the one w-who... She's the tallest standing around 5'9 possibly even 6 foot. Her chocolate brown hair flows down to her waist in soft waves, the vivid green of her eyes is flecked with brown and blue. Her eyelashes framed her eyes with utter perfection and her lips- Wait. No. She's- she's a freak. No, I will not be attracted to her. I refuse point blank.
"Y-you freak!" I stutter out, staring straight at the girl.
"You wouldn't be saying that if you knew the truth, Rogue." If looks could kill, well I wouldn't exist.
"Rogue? What the hell are you on about, freak!"
"I've notified the elders, set up the boardroom." This is to the red-head. "Is he alright?" She asks the doctor.
"Yes. He fainted that's all, there is nothing else to worry about. I'm sure it was just a reaction to you shifting." He nods his head and then exits the room. The red-head is also gone, which means it's just her and I.
"Get up. Follow me, myself and the elders will explain everything to you downstairs." Her gaze travels my body before she snaps around and walks out the room.
I slide off the bed and race after her, turning right I see her gliding down the stairs. Everyone she passes nods at her and casts wary glances at me. After a few more twists and turns through the massive house we step through a door way and into a conference room.
Six people rise out of their chairs as we enter, again they nod at the girl while glancing at me warily. She moves to the head of the table while the other six take their seats, I remain by the door unsure of what to do. She glances at me and points to the chair at the opposite end of the table. Oh joy, a united front.
I sit in the chair and lean back while the others share a look before turning back towards me in unison. Well, that's not creepy at all now is it? Then she speaks;
"I'm sure you are wondering what is going on. I will explain that shortly but first introductions, these are the six elders. You have Thomas and Megan Hunt, George and Fiona Night, Ander and Lisa Reeves. My name is Morgan Carter Daniels and I am the Alpha." Her voice is all business, no room for discussion. She gives me time to look at these 'Elders'.
Thomas is a tall man, 6'5 with blonde hair and brown eyes. Megan is 5'7 with brown hair and brown eyes.
George is 6'4 with brown hair and blue eyes. Fiona is 5'7 with brown hair and blue eyes as well.
Ander is 6'4 with bright orange hair and blue eyes. Lisa is 5'6 with blonde hair and blue eyes.
Then there was Morgan, her hair flowing down her back and her stunning green eyes watching me with a calculating look. At around 5'9 she was the tallest of the women, but it seemed as though even the men deferred to her despite being larger.
After giving me time to notice the people she gets back to business.
"We are Werewolves, as humans have deemed us. The Lycan population in the world is significantly less than that of the human, but we are definitely more advanced and stronger than they are. Before you ask, no we do not have to change at full moon. We change at will. Males first change at 16, females first change at 18, why this occurs we aren't sure. The Alpha leads the pack, the Beta helps the Alpha as well as trains any people new to shifting. If the Alpha dies the Beta will rule the pack, becoming the new Alpha. The gene or toxin that gives a Were the ability to shift can be passed on to a human when bitten. However sometimes it does not take hold and instead kills the human rather than giving them the ability to shift.
This situation appears to occur more often than the infected person being able to shift. Why? We have no idea, some of our people believe that it involves the ancestors of the human. The Elders are people within our community who have a large amount of knowledge and have taken an oath to protect our kind. They are available for anyone of our kind to speak to about an issue or for advice. I, as an Alpha, go to them if there are issues within the pack that I must make a decision about and I am unsure of what to do. However as Elders they have the power to banish a pack member for a reason they deem appropriate." Her tone brokers no argument.
Seriously? She's being serious right now? Werewolves? Shit... What else is real? Vampires, zombies, witches, demons?
"Wait. So you're telling me that you guys are Werewolves? Does that mean the whole supernatural world is in fact real?" I ask astonishment in my voice.
"Yes. Except for a few things the vast majority of the supernatural world is indeed real."
"Shit!" My only response to her confirmation.
"And you are a Werewolf."
