"Don't bleed on my floor."
What? Don't bleed on your floor!" For your information we share this apartment. "You have got to be kidding me, you shot me!!" I yell from across the room.
"Well don't come in the room when I have a gun."
"How am I supposed to know you have a gun? You idiot, I can't feel my arm, what am I going to do." I try to calm myself down, but I am in excruciating pain and I need to catch my breath. I look up at Stevie and wonder what in the world she was doing with a gun, I thought I was the only undercover assassin here.
"You know, I thought for being the best assassin, as your file says, you would know what was happening under your nose, but you actually didn't. I am an FBI agent, you imbecile! I am here to bring you in!"
Okay, this isn't adding up, my best friend is an FBI agent, how did I miss that?
"This isn't target practice, Andrea, I didn't accidentally shoot a gun when you walked through my door." Well no duh Sherlock, I think you had a motive for shooting me and I am not going back. "You know too much and I can't let you go back to your superiors!"
At that point, I put my game face on, I hate to do this to Stevie, but she needs to go.
Time out.
She has a gun pointed at me, I have less than a second to move, so how do I miss this bullet. I got it.
Time in.
I move my already injured right shoulder to the front of my body when she shoots the gun. I feel the familiar sting in my lower shoulder, but I can't think about pain right now. I run across the room hoping I can get to my gun before she pulls the trigger again.
Time out.
I am across the room now, but I am not sure I can make the jump to the desk to grab my gun. I can't take another bullet because I need my left arm to shoot, and if I get shot in the leg, I will be considerably slowed down. The stomach is totally out of the question because that will be fatal. Looks like I am going to have to risk my life on this one shot. Well she isn't pointing at my extremities, she's going for the kill shot. You have got to be kidding me, my best friend is an FBI agent?!?
Time in.
The only thing I can do is move my head to the left and hope for the best. I feel the bullet skim past my ear, and for a moment I want to lay down on the floor and beg, but I can't. I need to get to the desk.
I quickly jump over the desk to the other side and grab the gun underneath the desk.
I aim.
Time out.
Yes, Stevie is an FBI agent, but do I really want to shoot her? The whole agency will be after me. Stupid question. Wait a second.
Time in.
I shoot her, right in the ribs. 6 times to be exact. She falls over, dropping the gun. I quickly run over, and grab it.
I look her right in the eyes, "You may be an FBI agent, but I am an assassin, and as you said the best one."
And just like that I walk away.

Oh, wait you are probably wondering, is Stevie dead, did I get away, did I finish The Mission?
Oh the mission you aren't supposed to know about that.
I don't know why I was so worried about Stevie dying, she's FBI, she wears vest, it's written in the rules to wear one. Don't ask me how I know, it's a long story.
Yes, I got away, what can I say? I am the best.
The Mission?
Still working on that...
Until next time,
Agent Andrea Logan
