it was almost midnight when jungkook returned to his apartment. it was cold, quiet and though he had been living there for years, the place still looked empty— a constant reminder of how lonely his life was.
he sighed, rubbing his temples where he felt the beginnings of a headache. he refused to be in a melancholic state. the sadness would only drain him and he was tired enough, both physically and mentally. his day was shittier than usual, mainly because of work, and he just wanted to sleep it off (maybe for a couple of days).
he quickly discarded his clothing as soon as he reached his bedroom. he changed into a new shirt and boxers before throwing himself on the bed. it didn't take him long to doze off, but the constant ringing of his phone caused him to jolt awake.
'Fuck me for not putting it on silent.' he groaned in annoyance, forcing himself up to get his phone inside the pocket of his discarded jeans.
"are you fucking kidding me?" he almost smashed the device when he found out Jimin was sending him messages again.
he was on his 15 minute break at work earlier when he received a message from an unknown number.
jungkook wasn't friends with this jimin. heck, he didn't even know the guy and he made it clear to him that he had the wrong number. jungkook wasn't one to waste him time on a stranger, but obviously this jimin had all the time in the world to do so.
jungkook's frown deepened as he read through the recent messages. if this was some kind of a prank, he was going to lose his shit.
