Alish is 14 years old. She's been told that her mother is still alive. So she packs up and waits till her father is asleep to leave. But one day on her journey Alish discovers that life wouldn't be the same.
One night in the woods she heard something. "Who's there?" She called out. No one answered. So she went into the tent and falls asleep. Alish woke up to the smell of bacon and eggs. "Oh hello I'm terribly sorry if I woke you." A friendly voice said.
This person's name is Walter Ganes. "Oh no you didn't. The bacon did." Alish chuckled. "So what brings you out here?" He asked. "Just going to find my mother, Casey Zbick. That's all pretty much." She answered.
Walter and Alish head out toward the mountains. "I have to get some friends first...if you don't mind." He nods and drives his van to get her friends CJ, Summer, Charsi, and her best friend Tylia.
They're about two hours into the trip. "Here we are!" Walter shouts. So they walk over by Cliff Semi. They get to the edge and look around. It's a grassy plain with rocks here and there with lots of sun. But in the distance you see a white house.
