The Life Of Maya and Her First Puppy

Hello everybody! I just wanted to say that I don't own anything from this book, because my younger sister who is still in primary school wrote this book and wanted me to put it on wattpad.

This book is dedicated to my special friend: Caspian, Forever in my heart.

It was a fresh warm, breezy morning. The hot bright shimmering sun shimmered in the beautiful blue sky. The small brown birds cheeped as they sang a graceful song and the roosters were crowing as the trees swayed slightly left to right. I knew today was going to be a special day. 

"Happy Birthday!" they shouted with love and excitement. 

I was so surprised and I had a huge smile that wouldn't move! It was my birthday today, Mia and Lilly handed me my birthday card. The card was so pretty and colourful, Lilly and Mia had made it themselves. It is something special that we always do for birthdays.

The first present I received was a kite. It had every colour of the rainbow and it looked magical and it was shaped in a big cool bird. While I was still looking at my kite, Mia jumped onto my bed and gave me the Littlest Pet Shop House with two dark and light brown dogs. They are so cute. 

I was very happy with my gifts and thought that this was the best birthday present ever. Mia and Lilly both belted out with excitement "Surprise!" It was a Jack Russell puppy! It was the cutest thing I have ever seen. I couldn't believe my eyes.

I was finally given the one thing I had always wanted, a puppy. I had seen the puppy last weekend at a friends house. When I saw them, I ran and picked up the pups and was not able to put them down. There was the most adorable brown spotted, white pup that I had ever seen. It was calm and I fell in love with it. I couldn't believe that my family had bought the very pup that I fell in love with.

Now it was time to decide what to call this adorable puppy. Some names that came to mind were: Toby, Charlie, Dexter, Rex, Jack and Russell. Mum then said "What about Caspian?"

"Yes, that's it!" I shouted, "That is so original."

So that is how my puppy got his name Caspian. The weather was becoming much warmer and the school holidays were almost there.
