Chapter One: Meeting

Heaven stared at the door knob. Debating if she should open it knowing what was waiting for her. Heaven slowly reach for the door knob and let out a sigh of relief when she touch it. Finally, she open the door and stared at the people who were waiting for her. She hate having to go to meetings especially when the topic is about her. She made her way to the far end of the long table. Not very happy of seeing many of the people there. Then she smiled when she saw her two best friends. Lucas and Brandon.
Lucas had his feet up on the table leaning back in his chair. He was wearing jeans with a chain coming out of his left pocket. His black shirt had a picture of a eagle's left wing. His dirty blond hair was a mess, yet still packed down. His feet were sharp talons and his wings took up a lot of space next to him.
Brandon was sitting on the opposite side of Lucas. He wore a blue jacket with a little bit of red fur coming out of his sleeves. His bright blond hair was a mess like Lucas's, but a little more controlled.
Heaven thought about Brandon. He was the only person who didn't show his inner animal. He also is the only one who hasn't pick a side. She looked down at her left hand. A picture of sun was glowingly on the palm of her hand. She sighed. Sometimes she wishes she was one the other side. The dark side.
She sat in her chair and begin to say something.
"Does anyone have anything to say?" She asked regretting asking that question.
Everyone except Brandon and Lucas raised their hand. She sighed and pointed towards her war major, Tyler.
He was tall and musclier than anyone else here. He wore blue jeans and a tan shirt with a picture of a horse's mane one it. His brown hair was neatly done. He had hooves for his feet and hands so somethings were a challenge to him.
"Forgive me princess, but do you really have to like the prince of darkness? I mean there are plenty of other people. There's Lucas, me, Clinton, and even," He paused debating if he should say what he was about to say,"Brandon."
Everyone smiled at that thought. Princess and guardian together. That was something everyone dreamed of. Apparently so did Heaven, because now her face was really red and was looking away so Brandon wouldn't see her. Brandon just stared at Tyler. You could tell he was not happy at the horse.
"I know you see Heaven as a sister and I respect that, but she does need to be with someone by the time she's sixteen which is one year away. Plus you guys aren't related so it can work. Besides we aren't the only ones who want to see this happen.
Brandon was confuse until he turned around to see a bright red Heaven trying to not let him see her blushing. Brandon was now upset. He got up from his seat and walk towards the door. He slammed it behind him.
"Good he's gone. Now we can talk about getting you two together."
That just made Heaven blush even more.
" I-I don't really l-like him," Heaven said stuttering.
"Oh yeah, your face says other wise," Lucas said with a grin.
Heaven just blush even more. The thought of her and Brandon together felt like just a dream.
"I don't think he likes me though," Heaven said with sadness in her voice.
"Who wouldn't like you!" Lucas screamed.
She thought about that. She was wearing a dark purple skirt that went to her knees. A bright pink shirt that had a picture of a angelfish on it. She had short fins all along her arms and legs which made her look cuter. Her light brown her went just pass her shoulders and her eyes were bright green just like Lucas's, but not Brandon's who's eyes were blue.
"Besides princess," Tyler begin,"Jakob is just a dark evil twisted ruler who only cares for himself."
Now Heaven knew this wasn't true. She was secretly dating Jakob and he was the exact opposite of that. He is a caring loving ruler who cares about his kingdom more then himself.
Heaven now getting a little mad got up from her seat and started walking towards the door.
"Princess where are going?" Tyler asked.
"Going to find Brandon," she replied.
"He's just going to say the same thing I said."
"We'll see about that."
She walked up to the door and open it looking back at her subjects and closed the door behind her as she went to search for her guardian.
