We got through a few more classes and then it was the last class. My favorite. PE. The coach announced that we were doing capture the flag. The class cheered.

"Oh, cool! We play this game at camp." Leo said, excited. Then coach explained the rules. "Oh. It's different than how we play. But it's still cool, I bet."

We got put on different teams. That was cool with both of us. He looked confident for someone who barely knew how to play this version. It would be hilarious when our team crushed his.

We got to the red lines on either side of the basketball court and the coach yelled "GO!"

Both teams started running to their goals. My plan was play defense for a while and analyze the other team. Find out their strengths and weaknesses. Leo was an in-between force of strength and weakness. Strength because he was fast and no one would expect him to come over to our side and steal the pin because he was so new. Weakness, he still was having trouble understanding. He asked another kid what the rules were again. She explained and he nodded then went in front of the pin to guard with another teammate of his. I finished analyzing and our team already had one of their pins. Only one more to go. Then one of the weaknesses of my team came over.

She pulled me over to the back corner of our teams side. Then she discussed a plan with me.
"I'll be the distraction." she pointed to another one of our weaknesses. "Me and him will run to their side and they'll come after us and wont notice you. That's your chance. You run and grab the pin that the new kid is guarding. We still have one of their pins and the scooters don't get added until game three, so if you get it, we win." I nodded.

I pretended the conversation had never happened, and went to pretend I was guarding, so the other team wouldn't get suspicious. The two I had strategized with were ready.

They ran and it attracted most of their team, except for Leo and the other guard with him. I ran to them and Leo tried to grab my flag and I did a flip towards the pin and away from them. Leo looked pretty shocked about my flip, but he quickly focused. I grabbed the pin and was in the box. While I was in that box on the floor made of tape, they couldn't touch me. I stood there while they circled around the box. I noticed the gap between them and how slow they were going. If I played my cards right, I could get out of here without losing the pin. Leo tripped on his shoe and fell. I took the chance. I got of the box and pushed the other guard over and ran. Leo got up and was chasing me. He was faster than I had anticipated. He caught up with me and almost grabbed my flag. I did a double front handspring back onto my side of the gym and finished off with a flip. He stopped following me from shock. I ran to the pin storage section for our team (Which was basically just a cardboard box) as soon as I was back on the ground. I made it there and put it in the storage.

The whole team cheered and Leo came to my team in the five minute break between games.

"What. The heck. Was that?" he asked, annoyed and still shocked.

I laughed. "Didn't I tell you about my middle school gymnastics gold award?"

"Your what?" he almost yelled.

I couldn't control it anymore. I burst out into laughter. I fell off the bleachers laughing. I got back up when my chest hurt.

"Anything else you want to tell me?"

"Yeah. The game is starting again." I said as the coach blew his whistle.

Long story short, we won the next two games and Leo's face was priceless whenever I used my gymnastic skills against him.

Then during the fourth and final game, some stupid boy I knew way too well pushed me a little too hard and I went flying into the bleachers and hit my head on the corner, slid to the ground and finally I fainted.

The last image I saw before going unconscious was a very worried Leo and the coach stopping the game.
