A day in the fields

Len sat there in his bed quietly, not daring to move. "Len just act like you're sleeping." He thought to himself. Rin layed in the trundle looking up at Len's pillow. She couldn't see his face but she knew what he was trying to do. "Len? Are you going to tell me or what?" Rin asked.
After 5 minutes of tense silence Rin finally gave in and started drifting off the sleep when she jumped at a sudden whisper.
"I'll tell you tomorrow..." Len whispered.
Rin smiled to herself then slowly drifted off to sleep, as well as her brother Len.

Len woke up slowly to noise coming from across the room. He opened his eyes and looked over and saw Rin fumbling with his computer.
"Rin what are you doing?" He blurted. Rin jumped and quickly turned around. "I was just trying to check my email but I got distracted and started playing one of your games." Len stood up and quickly ran over to his computer. "Which one?" He asked. He didn't like it when others messed with his things. Rin looked up at him then back at the screen. "Skyrim..." she mumbled. She knew Len was going to throw a fit. She could sense it.
Len was outraged. How could she have gotten into his computer in the first place? He has a password! Then it hit him. He never actually turned his computer off. He only let it turn off on its own and it didn't lock it. Oops. "Never doing that again..." He thought. Len pressed the off button and glared at Rin, who was glaring back at him.
"Boys are so selfish when it comes to video games. Oh well, I guess girls are the same with other things. Alright we're even." Odd. Rin didn't yell at him and like she usually did. Len didn't yell either. Was this because he liked her?
Many questions like this started churning in his mind as he got dressed and ready for the day and ate breakfast. After he was done and finished cleaning the dishes, he sat on the couch and turned on the tv. He surfed through the channels, of course there was nothing on, but managed to find something that was decent on a Saturday morning.

Rin walked upstairs and flopped on her bed, happy to be in her room once again. She felt the cool air from her new A/C blowing down on her. She rolled over and got on her laptop and checked her e-mail. "Nothing but spam nowadays." She thought and closed her laptop and set it on her desk. She decided that since Len got dressed early that she would too. She put on her usual short, sleeveless shirt and shorts, only her shorts were white. She brushed her hair and clipped her bangs to the side and slid in her bouncy white bow. She moved her head left to right and giggled to herself as she watched her bow bounce around on her headband. Rin walked over to her cellphone and checked her messages. None. Of course. She set her phone back down and huffed. There was nothing to do today and Rin was bored. She had nobody to talk to, and all her friends lived somewhere not that close to her and she didn't feel like walking all the way over to there houses. Ugh.

Len layed on the couch drifting off into a shallow slumber. He felt so nice and peaceful and nothing could ever ruin the moment.

Except Rin slapping him in the forehead. "Len get up let's go out into the field I wanna pick flowers!" Rin demanded. Len grunted as he sat up and looked at Rin like she was crazy. "Did you really have to slap me?" He asked. "Sorry...it's just, I'm bored!" Rin pouted. Len smiled at her cuteness and started walking towards the door. "Alright, let's go." Len turned around and looked at Rin only to go face to face with her. Len stepped back a little bit and blushed, and reached the doorknob and opened the door for Rin, who was also blushing ever so slightly.

The twins didn't have to walk far, and soon they were at the beautiful green field, blooming with beautiful yellow, orange, pink, red, well, any color flowers you can imagine, everywhere. Rin ran over to the field and plopped into the middle, rolling around. Len did the same, and in just mere seconds the two were rolling in the grass like little kids. Rin rolled a little too far, and she felt herself gaining speed as she started rolling uncontrollably down a hill. "I can't stoOOOOP!" She screamed. Len stood up and started chasing after his sister, afraid she was going to hurt herself. He didn't see why she would hurt herself since there was nothing at the bottom, but you never know. Len ran faster and tried to grab Rin but by then she had already started slowing down at the bottom of the hill.
Rin layed at the bottom of the hill, panting and staring up at the sky dizzily. She felt like she was going to puke and she saw two of everything. Len's head popped into her vision. Well, two Len's heads. "Are you okay?!" He asked. Rin nodded and continued laying in the grass. She didn't dare moving until the sickness feeling faded after roughly 10 minutes. She sat up and adjusted her headband and bow, which surprisingly stayed in. Len sat next to her and looked at the flowers blooming everywhere. The twins sat in silence as they gazed upon the flowers. Rin walked over to a pink flower and picked it, and layed back in the cool grass and smelled it. Len followed her and layed close by, and reached up and held her hand. Rin looked up at the fluffy white clouds, hardly even noticing Len grab her hand. The warm sunshine shone on both of them as they both dozed off in the grass.

Rin opened her eyes and sat up, and realized Len was holding her now sweaty hand. "What time is it?" Rin wondered. She looked up at the sky and saw that not much time has passed because the sun hardly moved. They probably both dozed off for just a few minutes then? She didn't feel sunburnt or super hot so that was a good sign. Rin looked over at Len and smiled at her sleeping brother. She wondered what he was dreaming about.
Rin sighed as she thought about Len. She then remembered what Len was about to tell her yesterday. She secretly hoped it was about her in a way. She didn't want anybody to know this, not even her own twin, but she liked Len. She liked her own brother. She felt disgusting but she couldn't help it. It was all stupid puberty's fault. Rin frowned to herself and looked down at her knees and curled up into a little ball. She heard the sound of rustling and looked over at Len.
Len looked up at Rin and rubbed his eyes. "What time is it?" He asked. Rin shrugged and looked up at him. "I don't know. We didn't sleep long though, the sun didn't move much. I'm guessing we dozed off for at least 10 minutes." Rin stated. Len nodded in understanding and looked down at his hands. Rin watched Len, then finally just blurted out, "What were you going to tell me yesterday?" She asked. Len looked up at her slowly, and he looked a little nervous just like the day before.
Len had been dreading this moment all day, and he really wished he hadn't said anything about it yesterday either. But, he knew that he would've had to tell her at one point or another. Len prepared himself for this, and took in a deep breath and looked Rin in the eye.
"I like you in a different way than just a brother..." Len felt his cheeks turn bright red as he looked at the grass. His eyes filled with tears and he sniffled. He felt extremely guilty, and on top of that really weird.
Rin looked at her brother with astonishment. She never would've thought she'd hear those words come out of her own brother's mouth. But it happened. Rin sat there in complete shock for a second, but got snapped back to reality when she saw Len crying. Rin blushed as well, and reached her hand out and brought Len's chin up so her eyes met with his.
"I do to." She whispered.

Len smiled, and his eyes sparked in the light. His remaining tears ran down his face and he wiped them off and reached over and hugged his sister. Words couldn't express how happy he was. She actually loved him back! So he wasn't sick and twisted after all. Well, to Rin he wasn't, but still! Rin hugged Len back, smiling as wide as Len. Len leaned forwards and gently pushed Rin down, so he was kneeling over Rin. Rin blushed and looked away from Len.
They both secretly knew they wanted to kiss each other, but at the same time they didn't. Len knew he wanted it the most. He leaned his face forwards and his lips met Rin's.
Rin's eyes widened in shock and her body froze. Len pulled away quickly, feeling as if he did something wrong. "I-I'm sorry Rin. I couldn't help myself and I sh—" Len was cut off by Rin pulling his head back down, back into the kiss. Both of them completely melted into the kiss, and it felt absolutely wonderful.
The two pulled away for air, staring into each other's eyes. Rin smiled and blushed, and looked up at Len. Len smiled and returned Rin's gaze. Len wanted to continue to kiss Rin so badly, but at the same time he didn't. He knew he couldn't in an area like this. Or could they?
