I jump up from my seat as soon as everyone finishes. Chase speeds up and catches me. "Bree, please tell me you're not going to find that creep?"

I widen my eyes a bit in habit. "I have too. I'm tired of not knowing anything and I want to find out why you and I were the only ones who were able to see him."

I begin to turn around but Chase catches my arm again. Light music starts to play in the background. "I can tell you why," he pauses looking behind him. "It's because of our blood names...Morgenstern and Ritcher. He probably used Shades." Shades is a piece of technology where you can be invisible to certain people for a certain amount of time. However Shades is very rare and can only be used by certain family names.

I cross my arms and pout. "Well I'm still going to find him. I also wanna know why he was staring at me and why he even showed up in the first place."

"Then I'm coming with you," Chase stands next to me. With that him and I start walking to where I last saw the boy walk out.

Behind the door leads into a long and narrow hallway. It literally has nothing in it except a door at the end. When we get reach go out the other door it leads outside. The night air is cold and stings me instantly in my dress. The boy is leaning against the wall, arms crossed and cigarette in mouth. His golden eyes can clearly be seen even in the night.

When the boy sees us he quickly throws his cigarette down and runs into another building across from this building. I quickly rush to step on the cigarette so it doesn't catch fire on anything. Why would he be smoking? He looks about seventeen or eighteen.

Chase laughs at me stomping on the cigarette. "That wasn't going to catch fire in the first place you know," he laughs again.

"Just making sure," I stomp on it one more time before running up to Chases side. We continue to follow the mysterious boy into the other building.

I don't have a good feeling about this building. It's dark and smells like rotting meat. The only noise you can hear is the light tapping of our footsteps and our small breathing. We continue to follow the long and narrow hallway until it leads us into another room.

The other room has huge meat hanging from the walls. That's where the meat smell comes from I guess. "I think I'm going to throw up," I put my hand over my mouth holding in gags.

"Great. It'll be a snack for the demons," a voice from behind makes Chase and I spin around. It's the mysterious boy with two Ravener demons.

"Stay back," Chase gets into a defensive position. "I'll handle this," he goes a little toward about to face the demons without any weapons. He's a brave soul.

As the boy comes toward me I back up. My elbows touch the meat and I jump forward now an inch or two away from him. His skin is flawless and his golden eyes has cracks of black in them. Now I know he's dark for sure because he has black in his eyes. "What's your name?" I whisper.

"How rude," he smirks and says in a teasing but dangerous tone. "I know your name, Bree Ritcher."

"How do you know who I am?" I ask in a shaky voice. My hands are notably shaking as well.

"Your quite popular among the Broken," he comes a little closer. I can now see that the black parts in his eyes move around. "I'm Aiden Parr, the best shape-shifter to ever live."
