" What did I do wrong?" I asked my friend Codie,
"Nothing, I promise. It just Jess doesn't want me to talk to you."
"Why? What does she have against me?"
"Us."
"What about us?"
"We're friends. That's her problem. She's jealous of our friendship. But don't worry I'm going to break with her soon."
"Ok. If you say so."
"I say so."
"Fine then call me when you've broken up with her."
"Ok." Codie promises
"Well I got to go. I'll talk to you when you've broken up with Jess. I miss you Codie."
"I miss you to. Bye." And he hangs up.
I replay the conversation over an over in my head, it was two weeks ago from when we last spoke. It was almost as if he had dropped off the face of the earth. Jess, Codie and I had all been best friends since we were born. Well that was until Codie asked Jess out. Then everything crumpled, like a building in an earthquake. Jess stopped talking to me and made Codie stop as well. 4 months it had been since I had been ditched by my two best friends. Since then I have been depressed, plus I have needed to talk to someone about it all. If I told my parents they would say that I was being over dramatic and it would pass over. And I need to get over myself.
So as you can see I couldn't tell my parents. I just wanted my friends back. Back to when it was the good old days again. But by the looks of things; they won't be breaking up anytime soon. First Jess starts being an absolute bitch to me and then Codie lies to me, looks like I'm going to be on my own for a while. Going solo. Lone wolf.
Shit.
