Tonight is the award ceremony at my school and I have no idea what award I'm winning but I'll be sure to tell you.
Warnings: illness (?)

-------------------------------------------------------Sam's POV
August 2, 12:12 pmSam picked up a book that seemed like something May would read. What about this book? he asked and turned around just in time to see his niece vomit all over the floor. He rushed over and gently grabbed her shoulders as she tried to stand upright. She had her arms wrapped around her stomach. May looked up at him with a pained and embarrassed expression. It's okay, Sam reassured her. It's okay. We're going home now.
Sam slid his arms under her legs and back and lifted her up, seeing as how she looked like she would fall over if she tried to walk, and she wrapped her arms around his neck. When she leaned her forehead against his shoulder, he could feel how hot it was, even through his t-shirt.
On their way out, Sam told a janitor that his niece threw up over in the young adult section. The janitor rolled his eyes and huffed, but made his way over there anyway.
He gently placed May in the front seat of his car and rolled down the windows all the way. May leaned against the door, one of her hands hanging limply out of the window. Tell me if you have to throw up, okay? I'll pull over. May nodded. Sam reached out and rubbed her back, all the way back to the Bunker.
May's POV
August 2, 12:24 pmMay didn't throw up on the drive home from the bookstore. She tried to get out of the car and walk by herself, but the pain in her stomach was too much, and she almost fell to her knees. Uncle Sam caught her, and scooped her off the ground, like he did in the bookstore. May closed her eyes and rested her head in the crook of his neck. She didn't open them again until she felt the softness of her bed sheets underneath her. Despite the fever, she was freezing, so she pulled her comforter over her.
I'm going to call Dad and Papa, okay? Uncle Sam signed.
May nodded and snuggled deeper into her sheets. Uncle Sam returned a few minutes later, a phone pressed against his ear and a thermometer in his hand. He shook the thermometer and handed it to May. She stuck it under her tongue and held it there until a little red light on the tip turned on. The screen read 106 degrees. May gave the thermometer back to Uncle Sam.
"She has a 106 fever," Uncle Sam said into the phone. May could read his lips. "Okay. Okay. Bye." He sat down on the edge of her bed.
Dad and Papa will be home soon. How come you didn't tell me you weren't feeling well?
I didn't want to ruin your plans, May responded.
We could've done this another day, after you felt better.
I know, I just...
I know, Shortie. It's not a big deal. Let's just focus on figuring out what's wrong. I'm going to get you some water, okay? Uncle Sam kissed the top of her head and left her bedroom. May closed her eyes for a little bit, accidentally drifting off to sleep.
Castiel's POV
August 2, 12:45 pm"Dean," Cas said impatiently, "please hurry."
Dean and Cas were having lunch when Dean got a call from Sam, saying May had gotten sick. They paid for the lunch, then headed home.
Now they were in the car, Dean driving, and Cas riding shotgun. Cas wanted to get home as quickly as possible.
"I'm driving as fast as I can, Cas. I'm sure it's just a little stomach flu."
As soon as Dean pulled into the Bunker's garage, Cas was out of the car, heading for May's room, not even bothering to wait for Dean. Sam was standing outside of May's room when he finally got there. "I went to get her some water, and when I came back, she was asleep," Sam informed him and Dean, who had finally caught up.
Cas and Dean walked quietly into their daughter's room. She was asleep in her bed, her cheeks scarlet. Cas went over and sat down on the edge of her bed, and Dean followed suit. May's eyelids fluttered as Dean pushed back some hair that had fallen in her face, and she opened her eyes. Hey, Cuddlebug, Dean signed. She offered them a weak smile.
Hey, Bumblebee. What's wrong? Cas asked.
My stomach hurts, May signed.
Like you're going to throw up or it's actually painful?
Mostly painful, but both.
Dean and Cas glanced at each other. You're going to be okay, Cas reassured her. Why don't you close your eyes for a little bit?
May nodded. I'm sorry I interrupted your lunch.
Don't be sorry, Bumblebee. There's nothing you could've done to prevent this. Cas and Dean leaned down to kiss her forehead.
"What do you think it is?" Sam asked once Cas had closed May's bedroom door.
"She said her stomach hurt--like, pain hurt," Dean said. "Okay, so, stomach pain, fever, vomiting, nausea... This just sounds like the flu to me."
"Are you sure, Dean?" Cas asked. "May seemed to be in a lot of pain."
"I'm sure, Cas. And if I'm wrong, we'll take her to a doctor's office, and she'll get better."
"Okay," Cas mumbled and pressed a quick kiss to Dean's lips.
Dean's POV
August 3, 12:57 amDean and Cas had just gone to bed that night after checking on May one last time. She was still sound asleep in her bed. Cas had no trouble falling asleep that night; he had worried himself to exhaustion over their daughter. Dean didn't have any trouble falling asleep either.
He awoke to someone shaking his shoulder frantically. He rolled over to see May's silhouette outlined in the darkness. "Cas, wake up," Dean said as he reached over his husband to turn on the lamp on the bedside table. When he looked back at May, his heart dropped. Tears streamed down her scarlet cheeks, and she was clinging to the right side of her stomach.
May, what's wrong? he asked.
My stomach hurts really bad right here, she signed and pointed to her right abdomen. Cas patted the bed in between them, and May crawled over and laid down. Dean gently pushed down on the spot where she had had her hands, and she let out a small yelp. Cas smoothed back her hair.
"Why didn't I see this before?" Dean muttered to himself. "Stupid. The symptoms were right in front of me."
"Dean, what's wrong?"
Dean met Cas's gaze. "Appendicitis. We waited too long, and her appendix probably ruptured. Go get Sam. We're taking her to the hospital."
