CHAPTER 17
Alex's P.O.V.
"Are you sure this is a good idea?" I asked again for the millionth time as I peeked past the large curtain that blocked the stage, and eyed all the people in the audience.
It felt like the whole school was here, which it probably was.
This event was mandatory after all, not that the students minded.
Anything that got them out of class was good in their eyes.
Though I on the other hand was a little bit worried. But I just guess it was my nerves.
"Why? Are you backing out on us Ms. Green?" Blake asked from behind me, answering my earlier question, with a question of his own.
"No, but-"
"No buts, except you real butt, cause it -and the rest of you- looks HOT right now." He told me teasingly with a grin.
"Shut up perv!" I said, swatting his shoulder, before I crossed my arms over my chest.
Today I had exchanged my usual hoddie and jeans for a low cut shirt and a mini skirt. A very cute outfit that made me feel very uncomfortable.
But like Blake said I looked hot in it, which was the whole point of why I was here today.
For revenge.
To make Jessie want something he couldn't have, and be completely embarrassed in front of a large crowd.
Which was why we had picked today, two weeks later from the 'free candy' incident, to act on our plan of revenge.
Because today was the day of the school wide talent show.
Where, like I stated earlier, it was mandatory for the whole school to attend, and perfect to get news around fast.
But how? We couldn't just come out and say well, all we wanted to get out just by saying it could we? No! This was a talent show!
So we were going to get our revenge through a skit.
A skit with a dancing and music, and that required me to dress like, well... this.
At the time this had sounded like a great idea, but now... well, lets just say I'd rather not go through with it.
But it was too late now, as I watched the announcer walk out on stage, and read the card for the next act, then read it again as though he was unsure that the information on it was true, or if there was more.
"Next," he said confusion evident in his voice, "we have a skit."
"What kind of skit?" some kid from the audience called out.
"I dunno," the announcer told the kid, "that's all the card says; a skit."
There were hushed whispers as the crowd wondered aloud what was going on.
Normally, a skit is announced as so; So and so will be doing a comedy or whatever skit.
Ours was just 'a skit'.
We didn't really know how to explain it.
"Show time," Blake mumbled. He waited until the lights dimmed and then he walked out onto the stage.
Then when he was in position, a single spotlight clicked on and illuminated him fully.
"Ladies and gentleman, boys and girls, dudes and dudettes, and any other gender that I seem to be forgetting, I am Blake." This got a cheer from half the boys in the audience, who I assumed were all on his Sneaky team.
