Have you ever had the feeling when your world is falling apart and the only one that could save it was the one person that was dropping your heart? I have. I feel it when he holds her, when he calls telling me how he messed it up with her. Again. How he's never met someone like his girl. Someone that made his heart skip a beat when they walked into the room. The same person that you're up thinking about at 3AM the night of a big test because their all that's on your mind. The same person with the last name you wrote all over your math book with Mrs. so-n-so in front. The same one that makes you want to cry and laugh at the same time. The one person who knows how to destroy you but you just hope and pray that they don't. The person you want to grow old with. The person that whispered those three beautiful words in your ear every night before you went to sleep. The same person that'd be your Superman.
But yet, no matter how you styled you're hair, changed you're clothes, or acted in front of them, they'll still be to blind to see what was right in front of them. You. The person who's been madly in love with them since pre-K. The same person who left for a summer just to see if they'd miss you. They same one, who's laying on her bed, with her phone between her neck and ear listing to the boy that drives her crazy go on and on about the girl that he thought he loved. The one that he thought was his 'one'. The same one that thought he'd get to do all the things you hoped he'd do for you for her.
The same boy that's on the phone going on and on to his best friend about how this special girl cheated on him, and now she's knocked up. Just great, the 18 year thought to herself, my best friend gonna be dumb enough to treat the kid like his own. Their goes my shot. She sighed to herself.
"Wow Nick, all this is the 24 hours." The annoyed girl added, cutting off the rambling boy.
"What do you mean?" He eyed her through the phone. She didn't see it, but she knew his was doing it. She knew everything about him, and he knew everything about her. Well almost, all besides the important one. That she loved him.
"First off, stop giving me that look." She paused to giggle, hearing him sigh as well. "Yes, I know you that well."
"Stop reading my mind Jules, and help me." He shot. He was on the edge and she knew it, but she didn't care, she was sick of seeing her best friend, the love of her life being hurt by some chick that just didn't care.
"Listen, you called me yesterday telling me she cheating on you with Mitch. And now you're telling me, Mitch got her pregnant and you're sticking around, to raise a kid that's not yours?" She asked, hoping and praying for the answer she wanted to hear.
'No, gosh Jules, are you insane! I'm on my way to your house to sweep you off your feet and runaway with you.'
But no instead she got.
"It's not Mitch's." The boy mumbled.
"WHAT!?" she cried.
"It's not his Julie! Geez, clam down! It's not a big deal!" Not a big deal? Did my best friend just say that?
