Clem woke up. She took her juice box and began
drinking it. She was thirsty and she was still exhausted after the running last night. Something like that was easy for her, but this time a huge herd of walkers were coming her way and she knew she had to go since she was all alone with little 2 year old AJ. She ran and ran holding AJ knowing that he would just slow them down. Even if her legs were killing her she ran and didn't stop until about 5 miles later she stopped and stumbled across an old shed. She searched the drawers and she saw a rusty metal container with a mini knife and some bandages. AJ found a picture with a family, which had 2 kids to be exact. They moved on, going up North and noticed a house which was camouflaged in the dead grass and that is where they were for now at least. Clem sat on the sofa filling her back pack with stuff she found early. AJ who was sitting beside her was looking at a book that Clem found about 2 days ago. He obviously couldn't read so he just looked at the pictures. I wish Lee was here Clem thought. He would know what to do. He would know how to teach a child how to read. Clem might be 12 but she wasn't a teacher. AJ put down the book and cuddled into Clementine's shoulder. Suddenly, she heard a loud gunshot that sounded quite close to the house. She told AJ to go to the basement somewhere where people wouldn't find him whilst Clem looked out the window. "Im scared Clemmy" said AJ, who was slowly walking away, down to the basement. "We'll be fine" responded Clem. However Clem was scared herself but tried to keep positive so AJ wouldn't cry. She peeked out the window and noticed a man walking to the house next door. Her heart was beating 20 times a second wanting to just leave and be somewhere safe. She knew if she stayed somewhere to long she and AJ would be an easy target. She went down to the basement which AJ was hiding in. Clem never left AJ alone but this was too dangerous. When she came in she spotted AJ silently crying in the corner of the basement. The basement was surprisingly clean but still had a few cobwebs hanging around. She came up to AJ and said "What's wrong big boy?" AJ stared up at her and answered. "Clem, what was outside? Was it a walker?" "No" said Clem. "Then what was it?" AJ said with a frightened voice. Then suddenly there was a knock on the door. "Who knocks on a door in the middle of the apocalypse?" thought Clem. AJ began shaking. The knock was louder each time. Clem and AJ hid in a big cardboard box. They were both scared and terrified. AJ was shaking again. Clem was worried.
