Catalina was shaken awoke by Lucy, who stood in front of her with her bright Sunday dress on. Cat looked to her nightstand and stared at the time, it was almost 9 AM. The sun's rays peeked through her curtains, momentarily blinding her. Lucy glanced down at the violet dress in her hands and thrust it in Catalina's face.

"We're going to be late if you don't get up. How did you get from the bed to the window last night?" Lucy pulled on Cat's arm and hauled her to the bathroom.

Catalina tried to shake the sleepiness off her, along with her present depression. Cat simply shrugged at Lucy and closed the bathroom door behind her. She cut on the shower, letting it get hot while brushing her teeth. She tried to get ready as fast as possible so they wouldn't be late for church; it was a long drive from where she lived, but the church is moving closer so that's a plus. Cat scrubbed thoroughly in the shower, less because of her worrying about being clean and more of attempting to wash any physical and mental imprint that Tyler ever made on her. She shook her head, trying to stop thinking about him but all that gave her was a headache. She rested her forehead to the shower wall and let the rain pour over her head. She turned the water off, hoping out the shower. She gazed at herself in the mirror, searching her hazel eyes for any sign of happiness. Left with disappointment, she tried to put on a smile, but failed.

Cat put her wet hair in a messy bun and slipped on the violet dress, it touched her knees. She looked in the mirror before leaving the bathroom. She stepped closer to the long mirror, caressing her cheek.

"It's going to be okay. You're going to be all right, no more crying...be happy." Cat braved a smile, but it slipped as she noticed her best friend standing in the doorway in tears.

Lucy grabbed her hand and tugged her out of the bathroom, "I think she's right."

Cat hugged Lucy tightly, Lucy returning the hug affectionately. Lucy grabbed her keys off of the dresser and they both headed outside. Lucy smiled and held Cat's hand as they drove off.

Evan walked out of his room, scratching his toned stomach. He rummaged in the kitchen, searching for something to eat. He found a bag of plain chips, shrugged, and ate them. He walked in the living room, crunching loudly on chips. He looked around for Tyler, but he wasn't there. He sighed, dragging his lazy bum up the stairs to the guest room. He opened the door, but Tyler was not sleeping in the bed like he thought he would be. The bed was untouched and too clean. He shuffled to the bathroom, but it was empty as well. He crushed the bag of chips in his hand, trudged back to the room. He sauntered towards the door about to leave, but was struck by a cool breeze. He turned around, looking at the open window, and palmed his face.

Evan sighed and whispered to himself, "Not this again Tyler."

He slowly put his foot out on the ledge and reached for the roof material to bring him up. The material was getting weak from all the years it's been on the roof, and with Tyler's constant pulling. Evan through his leg over the ledge and pushed up. He shockingly stood up, letting out a breath of relief. He crept over to a sleeping Tyler and sat down beside him. Evan slapped Tyler on his cheek, slowly making a little rhythm. Tyler scrunched up his face, pushing Evan away. Tyler rubbed his eyes and let out a small yawn.

Evan let the laugh leave his body and then frowned, "Surprised you're up here again. You haven't been up here since...you know...your mom passed."

Tyler looked away from Evan and dropped his head, "Yeah I know, but no doubt the pain is real. From her and now Cat."

Evan studied the neighborhood as it started to wake. Cars were leaving for work and no doubt church. Trucks were passing to get into to town and a couple of kids were outside playing. Tyler looked up at the skimpy clouds that passed over them.
