I woke up to hearing Flare shouting out orders.
"Put the streamers there, not there, THERE! Ugh, can't you do anything right?!"
I sighed. "What time is it anyway?" I said under my breath.
"About eight o'clock in the morning." I jumped. I turned around to see who it was.
Abby
"Well, good morning." I said sleepily.
"Haha, sure." Abby chuckled.
I decided its about time to get ready, so I grabbed an outfit real quick,
"Oh no. You can't wear that to your party." Abby looked at my clothes.
"Why? I think it looks fine." I grabbed a pair of pants and a green shirt.
"You need something finer." Abby concluded as she began to go through my clothes.
"How about this?" She grabbed a short torn dress. It was a deep blue. So far twice Abby has reminded me of my birthday, me needing to wear something "formal" and the dress looked like my sister's. My eyes teared up a little.
"What's wrong?" Abby looked concerned.
"It's nothing." I quickly wiped away the tears.
"I think we need a talk." She said.
"No. I'm fine." I said quickly.
"Sit. Now." Abby sat on my bed, patting where I should sit.
"C'mon. Why?" I said as I sat down.
"Whats wrong?" She looked serious.
"Nothing" I looked away.
She grabbed my chin, "Tell me. I won't tell a single soul."
"Fine..." I shook free from her hand
"Do you really think you know who I am?" I asked confidentially.
"Yes, your Steph. You lost some memories. And your 13." She replied.
"You think you know. That's not my full name." My voice faded at the end of the sentence.
"What? Why did you lie?!" Abby sounded betrayed.
"My full name is Princess Stephanie Rosalie. I ran away." I said nervously.
"Haha, your so funny." She laughed, but it was fake. Like she wanted it to be a joke.
I looked her dead in the eyes, she didn't like it. But she realized I wasn't joking.
She grabbed my collar, "Why did you run away?! You had everything! We have had to steal to get our next meal! You better have a good excuse, like a life on the line!" She was screaming with tears streaming down her cheeks.
"If I stayed, I would have died. Do you know the story?" I said quietly.
"Yeah, well. No. That doesn't matter." She said with tears rolling non-stop.
"Yes it does. I am a witch. I have been looking for someone to break my spell." I said, still quiet.
She let go of my collar.
"I need to leave." She said after a short silence.
"Don't tell anyone." I said sternly.
"Sorry, but there is a huge reward for your return. Princess." She said rudely.
"NO!" I shouted.
I pointed my hand towards the door she was heading to. I locked it from across the room. I am getting better with my powers!
"Okay, let's play a game." I said so calm it was creepy.
"You leave with you life with a secret you don't tell, or you can die and I can stay safe. The choice is yours." I said still pretty creepy.
"What if I leave with my life and tell the secret?" She asked.
"Then you and the person or people you tell will die. I'm not afraid to wipeout whoever gets in my way." I said seriously. "Got it?" I asked finally.
"I agree to leaving and keeping your secret." She said shakily.
"Well. It's party time!" I said like nothing happened.
I got changed into the short dress and put on pants with or without Abbys permission. Abby wouldn't dare go against me now though.
I walked out and saw all of the beautiful decorations. Green and Black were the main colors. Streamers ran from one side to the other. Someone baked a cake, is had Williams and my face on it.
"I LOVE IT!" I shouted and ran towards Flare and gave her a hug.
I made eye contact during the hug. She saw what my eyes said, don't you dare tell.
She nodded, as if she knew what I said. Crud, can you actually hear me? I asked in my head.
She nodded again.
WHO ELSE HAS HEARD MY THOUGHTS?! I yelled internally.
I saw the pictures of the people I have seen, William, Abby, The Witch.
William, can you hear me? I asked him telepathically.
Yeah, whats up? His voice was in my head.
We are going to leave again. Not now, it's too soon. You agree? We need to find that witch, and get the revenge for what she did to you. My thoughts told him.
"Got it." He walked over to me.
"What?" Flare asked as we broke the hug.
"Um, the... Blanket." Of course, he had a blanket.
"Oh yeah, thanks." I said as I took the blanket.
Great cover up! How did you have that blanket? My thoughts asked him.
You. His thoughts told me.
Huh? I was puzzled. How? I asked.
You are getting to powerful, you are subconsciously using your magic without you you realizing. He spoke in my mind.
That explains why I am accidentally telepathically talking to people. Oh no, this is bad. How did you know? I asked.
Uh, research. He said, but it didn't sound sincere.
"Well, ITS PARTY TIME!" I yelled and threw confetti in the air.
-----------------------------------
It was nearly sundown. It was an amazing day! We had so much fun, everyone was in such a good mood. It was fun.
I was getting ready for bed.
What the heck, why not? I asked myself as I grabbed a nightgown.
I got changed and got into bed.
"Good night guys" I said.
"Good night" A few replied, the others were either asleep or out scavenging.
I drifted off to sleep, but I heard a voice. "Do not trust anyone, they are all against you. Nobody is your friend, they are using you. They are going to be against you in the end. Beware, beware." The voice drifted off.
I lied in my bed, wondering who that was.
I shrugged and went to bed, thinking I might just be tired.
