Prologue:(25 years in the past)
(*Emma's POV*)
'Mmm, I'm thirsty.' I thought as i walked through the woods in search of my next unfortunate prey. As I let my eyes scan the dark forest looking for any movement as i also listened closely for any movement or animal heartbeats. I was in the mood for some deer.
I thought licking my lips. I guess it was just the werewolf in me coming out wanting some animal blood. Which always seemed to clash with my vampire half that craved human blood. Either way in my opinion they were both pretty good.
However, as i was walking I hear the sound of running feet in my direction and panting breaths being followed by what sounds to be multiple feet chasing something while it breathed laborly.
Hearing it closing in on me I decide to wait and see who it is, and when i do i am completely shocked....not that i show it.
Running in my direction is a little boy that looks to be around 5 years old. His black hair swaying with the wind from him running. His light baby blue eyes wide with fear as he ran. He was wearing a white t-shirt along with some khaki shorts and Nike shoes that looked to be dirty. Other then that he was the cutest thing I've ever seen!
