No music again, filler chapter

"You're--" Eren stuttered, "--my brother?!"

"Why are you even asking that?" Klaus said, "I just said that I was Grisha and Carla's son. What part of that did you not understand?"

"Oh, I don't know," Eren sarcastically raved, "the part where my own flesh and blood brother decides to reveal himself out of nowhere from a Titan body!"

"Christ, you are as angry as I was told," the brother said.

"Care to explain where you've been all this time?!" Eren continued.

"Yes," Klaus said, "but not out in the open. We need to get back inside the walls."

Three hours later...

The Guardians and Scouts re-entered the Meridia district. Everyone crowded around and congratulated the two Commanders on a safe return and with no casualities.

"Mom?" a child somewhere said, "why does that guy look like Commander Eren?"

Luckily, few heard this, but Klaus did earn the attention a few faces.

This is why I prefer to wear my hood and mask, he thought to himself, pulling up his guise.

Thirty minutes later, the Guardians entered their headquarters with the Shifter. They all emerged into a large circular room with multiple floors. Those floors were soon occupied by Guardians with guns pointed at Klaus. The mysterious relative cooly took off his hood and mask.

"You might want to put those guns down," Klaus said, "You could seriously hurt somebody with those things."

"Tell me why and I will," Eren shot back.

Klaus snapped his fingers.

Suddenly, hooded and masked figures appeared behind each gunman, all of them unsheathing straight, solid blade katanas and held the sharpened edges to their necks. Eren looked around, seeing all the polished blades against all of his men's necks.

"If you value the lives of your men, tell them to stand down," Klaus demanded, his voice no longer gravelly, but now smooth and almost soothing to hear.

Eren intensely stared at his 'brother' before saying, "Guardians, stand down."

Klaus snapped his fingers again and the figures quickly sheathed their blades, and stepped back, waiting.

"Where did they come from?" Mikasa asked in concern, looking around at each of the motionless warriors

"More importantly," Armin questioned, doing the same, "how did they get there?"

"I have men everywhere," Klaus explained, "whether you like it or not, they have been watching all of you."

"How much do you know about us?" Mikasa asked.

"Enough to make you all very uncomfortable," Klaus answered.

"Anyways," Eren interrupted, "Where have you been all this time?"

The brother hung his head in slight sorrow.

"Twenty years ago," Klaus started, "Carla and Grisha were caught in between a faction war. Desperate to keep all of us safe, dad asked for the aid of an abandoned but still existant Regiment, the Assault Regiment. But they asked for something in return. They asked for his eldest son. From what I was told, Grisha regretfully gave me up. The Assault Corps stopped the war, but took me outside the wall before mom could say goodbye."

A familiar hole opened in the pit of Eren's stomach.

"Nine years later," the eldest continued, "I was finally given the chance to see her again. But by the time I reached the Shiganshina District, I saw the hole and the smoke and I knew I was too late. So that's why I kept my distance, because I knew that if I approached you, something would happen to you."

"You stayed away," Eren said, "to keep me safe?"

"Yes," Klaus said, "oh, and Mikasa?"

"Hm?" she asked.

"That scarf you're wearing," he pointed.

"What about it?" she questioned.

"Mom was making it for me before I was supposed to leave," Klaus answered, "to remember her, but you can keep it."

"No, take it," she said, pulling it off, "It's useless to me anyways."

She tossed the cloth at the Evolved Shifter, which he caught before she walked off.

"Ugh, dammit," Eren muttered, rubbing his temples.

"I'll ask later," Klaus said.

"That'd be a good idea," Eren responded.

"Ronin!" Klaus shouted.

The hooded figures stood at at attention.

"Vanish," the eldest ordered.

The Guardians turned quickly to see how swiftly these people moved. And they moved stunningly fast, because before the Guardians could finish turning, the figures were all gone.

"How's Annie?" Armin asked, out of the blue.

"She should be waking up right about...," Klaus answered, "..... Now."

Annie shifted in the Englishman's arms.

"That's not normal man," Connie told Klaus.

Klaus smiled.

Two days later...

Klaus and Annie sat at a bar in the Alren District. Klaus needed a drink because Eren and Hanji were driving him crazy with ridiculous questions about him and his Titan. Annie was there trying to drink away her depression. Again. Fortunately, she was barely drunk.

"So you're Eren's older brother?" she asked, "How old are you?"

"Twenty-six," Klaus answered.

"I imagined you angrier," she brought up.

"Believe me," he said, "I am. I'm just better at managing it."

"That sounds about right," Annie responded, taking a drink with a smile, "so you're a Titan Shifter too?"

"Seems to run in the family," he replied, taking a drink himself.

"Is there anyone special in your life?" Annie asked.

Klaus froze upon hearing her question.

"I'm sorry," she apologized, "I shouldn't have--"

"No, it's fine," he said, "but I should ask you the same thing."

Annie quietly cleared her throat, regretting asking the question.

"Let me see," Klaus mused, "Slightly taller than you, handsome, intelligent..."

Annie began to clench her teeth, her face flushing red and rising in temperature.

".... English, blonde, and blue eyes," Klaus continued.

Annie layed her head on the table in embarrassment and whimpered, "Please don't tell him or anyone."

"I've kept my own existence a secret for twenty three years," Klaus reassured, "I think I can handle something as basic as a crush."

"Thank you," Annie said, "I just don't need people teasing me because I like the bookworm known as Armin."

"My lips are sealed," Klaus returned, "Let's get you home."
