Ashley's POV
I woke up and forced myself out of my comfy bed, got to the bathroom to freshen up, and finally changed my pajamas into a white shirt and a pair of boyfriend jeans with black timberland safety boots, of course I only wore one of the pair, since my other foot was put in a very attractive cast. (Note the sarcasm).
"Heyy Ash, you up?" Jessica called from downstairs.
"Yeahh, coming down in a minute"
"Okayy, I made you breakfast" She said.
"Thank youu Jess"
I slung my backpack on my shoulder and went downstairs but just as I got out of the room
and was about to hop the stairs down, Nash got out of the guestroom."And what do you think yourself doing missy?" Nash said.
"Umm going downstairs?" I replied.
"And how were you going to doing that?"
"Why are you asking so many questions?" I retorted back.
"Just shut up and let me help you" he said.
And that's when Nash slid his hand around my waist and helped me take the stairs down slowly one by one.
"Thank you" I said once we reached the ground floor.
"Yeah whatever" he smiled one of his lazy smiles as he went toward the kitchen.
"Morning guys" I greeted my friends whom were all seated on the kitchen's bar stool
"Morning Ash." Melissa greeted back while the rest of my friends noded acknowledging me, Yeah I know, I have the sweetest friends.
I sat down and started eating my breakfast which Jessica prepared for me, until Melissa asked "So, Leo is picking you up exactly?"
I checked my watch and answered back "In like five minutes, if he doesn't get late"
"You know I can drive you to school right?" Nash offered.
"Yes I do know that, and thank you, but it's fine he offered and insisted so I got a ride, don't worry" I answered him, and just then I got a text from Leo.
"Good Morning Ashley, I'm outside"
"He's outside" I announced. "How are you guys going to school? Don't use my car, I warn you" I continued.
"Aren't you just the best friend ever?" Andrew said with so much sincerity that my heart hurt (Not the sarcasm again) .
"I know, but still, don't use my car or else.."
"Jake has his car, and so does Nash. Don't keep the boy waiting, go and we'll see you at school" Hanna interrupted me.
And with that I said goodbye, got out of the house and walked to Leo's car. I have to say he've been so nice that I don't know if he should have been doing all of that.
Once I got into the car, I immediately smell his strong cologne, which I should say smells so good. I smiled at him and he smiled back, and I couldn't help not notice his striking blue eyes, his mop of curly dark brown hair and how fine he looks. When I realize I've been staring at him, I decide to talk.
"I hope I'm not such a burden for you that .."
"Trust me, you're not" he interrupted before I got to complete my sentence.
"Good"
"Now shall we get moving?" he asked.
"Yes please" I smiled at him.
After five minutes of him driving and me watching the streets we go by through the window he spoke.
"So, tell me about yourself."
"What do you want to know?" I asked.
"Anything. You know what? Let's play twenty questions" he said.
"So you are willing to know twenty thing about me?" I asked amused.
"Let's make it one hundred questions" he said.
"I don't think we'll have enough time for that. We'll get to school by question number five." I answered him playfully.
"We have all the time we need. We'll be playing this for the next two weeks. Deal?" he said.
"Deal" I answered, amused by how willingly he wanted to do this.
"I'll start, what's your favorite color?"
"White. My turn, What's your favorite subject at school?""Seriously? Anyways, I guess it's Math then"
"Oh someone's a smartie here." I joked.
"Yeah right. Okay so who's your bestfriend?"
"I have a couple, but the closest is Melissa Jacobs if you know her."
"Ah yeah I do, she's with me in a few classes"
"The next question is, why were you driving by my house the day you hit me with your car?" I asked out of curiosity.
"I was supposed to pick up someone from your party" he said.
"Who was that?" I asked.
"Hey! You don't get to ask two times in a row." he protested.
"Fine, you ask" I rolled my eyes.
"Do you have siblings?"
"Yes, actually a twin. A girl named Leila and a boy named Ryan"
"Lots of fun in your house huh?" he joked.
"Lots of it, now tell me, who were you picking up from my house that day?"
"A girl you most probably know. Claire Robinson, rings any bells?"
"WHAT!" I shrieked.
"Yep, I expected that exact reaction."
"Why were you picking her up? I don't mean to intrude but this girl just happens to be the reason of 50% of my problems."
"Not that it's your turn to ask, but I'll just explain everything and then we'll get back to the game. So Claire, is my step-sister and .."
"WHAT!" I shrieked again.
"You seriously need to stop doing that, my ears are throbbing"
"Okay, Sorry, I'll try to relax, but please tell me how can Claire be your step-sister?"
"You really don't know what a step-sister mean? Are you for real? Okay so a step-sister is.."
"Of course I know what a step-sister is, I mean how?" I interjected.
"Her mother and my father got married almost four years ago, when I was in freshman year. They met in one of the meetings the school sets for the students' parents and they happened to be some old lovers, so they "just clicked" as they usually describe it, and since they were both single, they didn't find a problem why not to get married. I mean, the fact that Claire and I hate each other never seemed to bother them." he replied with such sarcasm that would put Ellen Degeneres to shame.
"Then why were you picking her up that day, if you both really hate each other?""Like I have a choice. It's really complicated. Anyways, we're here, ready for a very fun school day?" He said.
I looked up and my eyes landed on our school's building. And I just knew, that today was going to be full of events.
