To A Kittens Surprise (Book 1 Complete)

17 and Sweaters

It started out as another boring Tuesday morning get up at 6, roll out of bed at around 6:30, get dressed and head out the door by 6:55. The only difference about today it's the first day back from winter break and im now 17 with my birthday being yesterday I got a bunch of new clothes. I decided to look halfway decent so Im wearing a cute 5SOS sweater my mom made me, black jeggings and my orange converse.

The only thought running through my head right now is how my friends are going to react to my newly dyed hair. For my birthday my parents said choose hair or new season of Teen Wolf I decided hair so my old half blue hair is now all a vibrant blue. Surprisingly through all my thoughts I didn't realize it till my friend screamed at me to stop. I look up to see a frantic Connor and an even more frantic looking Ashure so after assuring them I was fine I decided to mess with Connors hoodie that I usually took when we got to school.

Before I even started pestering him about the hoodie he handed me a bag and mumbled a barely audible 

"Happy Birthday Brat" 

I cautiously took the bag, slowly taking out the wrapping paper and once I realized what was in the bag I looked up at Connor (him being 6' 5 and me only being 5' 4 the was a large height difference) in total shock I took out the hoodie that he always had

"You're joking right this is you're favorite hoodie I mean you told me I couldn't have it till you were sure I could keep myself "clean" (putting air quotes on clean) for a year"

he cut me off in the rant when he saw the bus coming. Shoving the hoodie on I grabbed Ashures and Connors hands and led them on the bus only letting go of Ashures but keeping Connors hand locked in mine. We sat in our regular seats me in the back one seater and the boys in the two seater across from me.

"So what you do over break kitten?" 

I cringed at the words knowing exactly who it was queue eye roll. Calum freaking Hood my bully since sixth grade unfortunately he failed senior year so im stuck with him yet another year.

" Don't you dare call her kitten her name is Kitty Wildfire and she doesn't like you so go bother someone else Hood Rat."

Surprised I gasped at Ashure he was usually the calm one of the bunch but he seemed edgy today im gonna ask him about it later but now I just wanna relax I let out a quiet groan in frustration.

" Guys one day that's all I ask shut up and Ash switch seats with me"

 all eyes were on me no one I mean no one ever set foot in my seat so Ashure obliged and switched seats with me so I was now sitting on the inside near the side of the bus. I laid my head on the window, put my headphones in, putting the hood up on my new hoodie then I leaned on Connor knowing I could get atleast 15 minutes of quick rest.

I woke up to my ear bud being pulled out and someone whispering

" Kitten I love you but I don't feel like carrying you off the bus today." 

I groaned annoyed and grabbed my backpack and shoving my phone in my pocket. I got of the bus and realized as always the bus driver got us here 12 minutes early so I started walking over to Connor and Ashure but was soon hugged from behind with a sleepy voice I lightly growled a small warning.

Next thing I feel is someone grabbing the hem of my hoodie and then it was gone I was left in my 5 Seconds Of Summer sweater and soon felt an angry Ashure and Connor behind me though Ashure pushed past me and ran after however took my new prized hoodie. I looked up at Connor and he knew what I was thinking when I started pulling at my sweater trying to cover up the words on it.

" Kitten no don't cry Ashure will get the hoodie you're feisty kitten don't cry please and don't worry I don't think anyone saw the logo well atleast not Ashton, Luke or Calum come on lets get you under the overhang." 

I smiled hes so sweet to me but yet here I am liking Michael Clifford my bullies best friend just my luck.

" Hey jerk wad give Kitty back the freaking hoodie now"

"No" that voice was all I had to hear to know who it was. I smiled slightly and took off running
