Chapter 7- A date and a storm

*Jai's P.O.V*

I slowly got out of bed stretching. I looked over at the alarm clock that read 3:00pm. I was up really late last night watching movies. I didn't mean to sleep so late but I didn't have a reason to get up. A local radio station heard that Ariana was in Melbourne so they asked to do an interview and maybe have her sing a few songs. Obviously she agreed. She never let anyone down. She was just so perfect. Tonight I was taking her out on a.. date I guess you could call it. We weren't officially a couple but I think we both felt there was something there. I mean we always tell each other we love one another but it could never work. I let all those thoughts fade and went to the bathroom. I got ready for what was left of the day, brushing my teeth, fixing my hair, etc. After all that was done I started thinking about where to take Ariana. After a long time of thinking I decided to just take her for a picnic in the park where the boys and I film our question and answers. I looked over at the clock in the kitchen. It was 3:30. Ariana got home at 4:30. The date was at 6:00pm so I had 2 and half hours to get a picnic basket ready and make myself look presentable.

(A few hours later)

*Ariana's P.O.V*

I stepped out of my taxi paying the driver and grabbing my purse from the backseat. I payed the driver and walked along the path towards the Brooks House. I knocked on the door waiting for someone to answer. Jai should be home. It was 5:20pm which meant I only had 40 minutes to get ready for our date. Finally someone answered the door but it wasn't Jai or Luke. It was another boy. It must have been Beau. Jai told me a lot about him so I felt like I already knew him. "Hey!" I said awkwardly yet cheery. "Hi, Ariana right?" He asked. "Yep that's what I am," I said. He laughed and told me to come in. Once I was in he told me Jai was upstairs. I thanked him an went up there. Instead of going to see Jai though I went straight to the room I was staying in to get ready. I only had like 40 minutes. I needed more time. Quickly I rushed over to my suitcases which I still haven't unpacked. I grabbed a handful of dresses. I laid them all out in front of me finally deciding on one. I picked the one with the top half being a white tank top look with a floral design and the bottom part just a white skirt kinda thing with a few ruffles. After undressing and putting it on I went to the bathroom in my room. My makeup was scattered all over the counter from this morning. I didn't put on a lot of makeup. Just the basics, eye shadow, eye liner, concealer, foundation, primer, mascara, etc. For my lips I used a light shade of pink and finished it off with another shade of pink lip liner around. Next I got out my curling iron and curled the bottom half of my hair. I did my hair into a half up, half down style. To finish my hair, I put a light pink bow in my hair around the elastic to match the light pink pumps I was wearing. Finishing up, I put on some perfume. I took one last look in the mirror. Satisfied I walked downstairs where Jai was waiting.

*Jai's P.O.V*

I was downstairs alone waiting for Ariana. I was so nervous that something would go wrong but I pushed all that to the back of my mind when I heard her come down the stairs. She looked absolutely stunning. I stared at her as she came down the stairs smiling at me. "Wow. You look so beautiful," I told her. I was at a loss of words. She smiled and thanked me. I grabbed the picnic basket and lead her outside. "So where are we going?" She asked. "Well, I was gonna take you to the park for a picnic. Unless you don't want to.." I looked at her uncertain. Her face expression changed. "A park?! I hate parks!" She said stopping. "Oh! I'm sorry I didn't know! We could-" she started laughing. "I'm kidding you fool! I would love to go to the park!" She told me. I was so relieved. I laughed as we continued to walk to the park.
