Chapter 2

The next day was a Monday - school and something Noah was definitely not ready to do yet : face Susie Rayner. He had felt a bit bad about yelling at her like that but then he realized that somehow he had done the right thing and hoped that maybe, just maybe, she would forgive him and FINALLY get over him.

Thinking happy and positive thoughts, he climbed in Aaron's beat - up black Jeep with Jacob. "Hey man! You seem weird today..." said Aaron as soon as he noticed Noah sitting in the front seat beside him. "That's because he looks happy, real happy. Like the cat who ate the cream type happy." stated Jake nonchalantly,"Besides, who cares? I have a Algebra test today and I forgot to study." Noah and Aaron looked at him in surprise, although Jake got into trouble more times than you can imagine, he always got good grades which was basically the only thing that kept their mom from home schooling him.

"You've got to be kidding. YOU didn't STUDY? Very funny, Jake" laughed Aaron but Jake remained silent. His face flushed red and he put his algebra notebook back in his bag. They dropped him off at the middle school and continued on their way. Noah broke the silence,"Jake was acting very weird today." Aaron shrugged saying,"Aren't we all?" "No, Ron! I'm serious! My breakfast was completely normal today. And so was my toilet paper!" Aaron wrinkled his nose in disgust at that but then considered it closely."Yeah, there wasn't anything in my juice either..." Noah would have dicussed it furthur but they saw the school up ahead. As soon as the car parked, Noah got out and ran inside, he would've made it on time to his homeroom if his locker wasn't filled with yellow rose petals - WAIT! Yellow rose petals???!!!

Great! She had done it again! Yellow rose petals? And infront of the entire student body who going for their first periods! Between those petals was a note by who other than Susie Rayner saying that she was 'Sorry'! Obviously Noah confronted her, why would he NOT? And her reply,"I'm sorry Noah, I was trying to apologize..." Yeah, that's how she apologizes for ruining his life - filling his locker with rose petals and not just any rose petals. Yellow meaning 'EVERLASTING LOVE'! His life was so ruined.

"Hey Anderson, heard about what you girlfriend did to your locker...pretty sweet" chuckled Francis Martini - captain of the football team and someone Noah was hoping didn't get to know about his 'petal' incident. He sighed and turned towards him,"I'm sorry Martini but I have absolutely no idea what you're talking about. Goodbye, I have to get to class now," and lamely walked away.

Today sucked.
